Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

To be honest, these look better then they taste. They don't taste bad, just bland. I did add extra cherry juice to the frosting as well as to the cookie itself but it is still pretty bland. I'd make these again but might experiment with a different flavour extract.....

Quick Black Forest Cake

I tried another black fores cake recipe and totally messed up the frosting and did not have time to make aonther from scratch so I made this one instead...Boy am I glad I did!!! It was a show stopper! I made this in a bundt pan and drizzled the glaze over top. Once set, I topped with a few marachino cherries. It looked beautiful!!!!

Black Forest Cake I

This cake was so soft and moist! The whip cream was not overly sweet and did not take away from the chocolate of the cake itself. I did have a problem with the cake not staying together but I'm sure it was my fault!!!! I will definately make this again!!!!

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Really, really liked these! I baked them for 15 minutes and they were perfect. Soft and delicious. The only thing that I changed was that I used fresh ground cinnamon and nutmeg, fresh pumpkin and used maple extract in the glaze instead of vanilla. I will totally be making this recipe again!

Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting

This was good but not enough lemon flavour for me. I swapped the vanilla extract for lemon and it was perfect! I also think that amount of icing sugar is off...I used 4 cups and might even reduce it to 3 1/2 next time.

Loved This! Execellent creamy and tart taste. Easy to make too. I made them into tarts instead of a pie....I also used a full stick of butter and 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I really liked these! Easy to make and delicious! Make sure you do not over cook these, they will look undercooked at 15 minutes but trust me, they will be done. For those who thought these were a little bland, try using salted butter and do not omit the salt before giving up on this recipe. Using pure vanilla extract also makes a difference in the taste......

Sunshine Ice Cream Pie

Ive made this a few times and really enjoyed it! I made it as stated and then made a few modification based......I used a chocolate crust, vanilla ice cream and rasberry sherbert. I softened the vanilla ice cream first and mixed it in a bowl to make it less "lumpy". I pread it over the grraham crust andfroze for about 30 minutes. Then I softened the sherbert and mixed it in a bowl too. Added it over top of the vanilla layer and added fresh rasberries and chocolate rosebuds. Froze overnight and served the next day. No need to soften before serving...serve right from the freezer!

Peach Pie

Really liked this....modified based on some others suggestions....used 1/2 cup each broen and white sugar, added 1 heaping tbsp of cornstarch to the butter mixture. cooked at 450 for 10 min utes, then reduced heat to 350 and cooked for an additional 30 minutes. Turned off the oven after the cooking time was up and left the pir in there for about 90 minutes...Was PERFECT!!!! no soggy mess, just a beautiful, delicious pie!!!

Roasted Lemon Herb Chicken

Great chicken recipe! Our bbq died this weekend and we were having company tonight for dinner..I needed something BBQ like to serve that I could cook in the oven..Glad I chose this! It was fantastic. The only changes I made were to double the seasoning and sprinkle a little on after I poured on the olive oil/lemon onto the chicken. I also put 1/2 a lemon inside the cavity of the chicken, along with a couple of cloves of garlic. This will now be my new go to chicken recipe!

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

I really liked this cake but only gave it 4 stars because I think the bake time and temperature is way off. I started cooking this at 350 for the first 55 minutes and it was not done. It was kind of brown already but underdone in the middle so I reduced the temperature to 325 and cooked for another 20 minutes. Next time I will bake this at 325 instead....

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

I really enjoyed this one! I had an appetizer party last week and although this one did not get gobbles up, I think it was only because I had WAY too much food on the go!!! We ate the leftovers the next day and even re-heated, it was great! The only changes I made was that I omitted the roasted garlic and used roasted garlic alfredo sauce instead. I also mixed all the ingredients together, did not layer it.
