Very much enjoyed these! A nice change from tradional chocolate chip cookies. I drizzled mine with melted white chocolate to jazz them up a bit. A keeper for me!

Banana Split Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
These didn't work for me. Followed recipe to a "T" and they were mushy and bland in the middle. Too bad, I had high hopes for this one!

Almond Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
Made this exactly as written and quite liked it but felt it lacked a depth of flavour. Changed the sugar to vrown and boy what a difference! Loved it that way and will continue making it with brown sugar instead of white.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2012
Super easy! Used 1 1/2 cups peanuts instead of a cup. Preheated the cookie sheet and the brittle spread easily. Thanks for the tips about having the baking soda and butter ready, cause you need to move fast! Also, the temperature moves quickly after it hits 250 so watch carefully! I will be making this one again and again!

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
Served these for my hubby's 50th birthday party this past weekend. BIG hit! I had to make a few changes...I used italian sausage instead of crabmeat due to allergies. I also only used 1/4 cup of butter. I even made them the night before and set them on a baking tray in the fridge until we were ready to cook them...will make again for sure!

Boardwalk Quality Maple Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
This was a really easy recipe to prepare, which I liked!!!! I made it on the stove top instead of the microwave. The consistancy was nice but not enough maple flavour for my liking, even after adding an additional tsp. I think I might try and tweak it a little to get the flavour I'm looking for!

Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This was a great frosting to work with! I took the advise of a few other reviewers and used 1/2 cup butter and 1 1/2 cups shortening. I also cut it in half to use to frost one double layer 9" cake...big mistake!!! I did not have enough frosting.

Blueberry Lemon Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
This was good but too sweet with 1 cup of sugar, which is why I rated it only 4 stars. By doubling the lemon zest, using 1/2 cup sugar, and by not melting the butter (soften instead), this is a 5* recipe for sure! I've also made the into cupcakes too and they turn out terrific and take 1/4 of the time!
