Sesame Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I loved this recipe, great way to jazz up green beans, and frozen work well too...but fresh is best. I also add in a couple of dashes of low sodium soy sauce for extra flavor.

Southwestern Macaroni and Cheese with Adobo Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
Nice change of pace for Macaroni and Cheese, I could not find powdered Jalapeno pepper, so I used 2 tablespoons of jarred mince jalapeno. If you don't like spicy foods, you could just omit them all together.

Smoky Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I used this on a pork tenderloin, and then grilled it. It was so moist and flavorful, the only change I made was I only used a dash of liquid smoke, that can be overpowering.

I just tried to lighten up this recipe a bit, so I used half-n-half thickened with a little cornstarch, and also added in some sliced baby bella mushrooms. It would also be good with hot Italian sausage for a little kick!

Both an excellent marinade and sauce, I used a white wine Dijon mustard. Marinating the steak over night really helped to tenderize the meat, it was so flavorful!

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I made these for my annual Christmas Eve drop in, and everyone raved over them. I used the seamless dough sheets, and I also fried thick sliced bacon and chopped it up, instead of using the packaged bacon pieces.

I was a little leary about adding the nutmeg in this recipe, but I stuck with it and I am so glad I did! They turned out perfect, I just needed to increase the baking time to about 40 minutes, because I like roasted potatoes very crispy!
