Scalloped Potatoes I
This is a GREAT way to use up leftover smoked ham steaks and pork chops. I followed the recipe exactly. And then I added a little milk & sour cream to the condensed cheddar cheese mixture before layering. And layered pieces of shredded ham steak over the potato layer. The house smelled INCREDIBLE!! I did have to cook it about 20 minutes longer than the recipe called for, but it was well worth it. And this is SO easy. My kids who are at the age where one eats everything and the other eats nothing LOVED IT!!! THANK YOU!!!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken
This was a great recipe for my husband's low carb diet. And it was so easy to prepare. I added a butter paste of butter, poultry seasoning, garlic powder and lemon pepper seasoning. I rubbed it under the skin on the breasts and on the outside of the rest of the bird. I put some french onion soup under the chicken w/ the foil balls. Everyone at my husband's restaurant wanted to try some, because the aroma was so wonderful. And the teenagers who work at the restaurant with my husband actually called me and went on and on about how good this chicken was. I'm glad I ended up cooking a 5 lb. bird!! :) THANKS SO MUCH for a keeper!!!

Sausage and Rice Stuffed Peppers
My husband is on a low-carb diet. o I took this recipe and reduced it to 2 servings. I then used 1/2 lb. ground sausage + 1/2 ground beef and omitted the rice. My husband, who is a very busy restaurant manager, made the time to call home and RAVE about this phenomenal recipe. THANKS SO MUCH NANCIE!!!! You are helping me to score points in the low-carb kitchen. :)
