My great cycle
About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything that I haven't cooked for dinner since I was married in 1976.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Polish food for Christmas. Mmmmm! Love the pierogi!
My cooking triumphs
Changing my cooking habits to accommodate diabetes and high blood pressure.
My cooking tragedies
Having my father-in-law bite into a piece of pumpkin pie, snarl and say, "What is in this?" and spit out his bite of pie. For some reason the spices clumped. Threw them out and bought new spices.

Rhubarb Cheesecake
Absolutely awesome! Chopped rhubarb in food processor, which made it too watery and dripped on oven bottom, but that was my own fault. I used store brand pecan sandies to save a buck and they were awesome! Substituted whipped topping and cut up strawberries for topping. Great spring dessert!

Pumpkin Pancakes
I wanted to duplicate Denny's pumpkin pancakes. I loved them and thought that they would be easy to make. This recipe does exactly that. I love nuts, so I added chopped walnuts. Mmmmmm! Good! Thank you, Ruth!

Spooky Witches' Fingers
I NEVER add salt to my recipes and they always turn out great! When I rolled the fingers, I used confectioner's sugar, which gave it a sweeter taste that so many reviews complained about. I used red decorating spray to paint the almond slivers before cooking and they looked great! Slightly embed the almond to look like a real nail. LOVE this recipe! Thank you!
