Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
My husband, oldest son, mother-in-law and I loved this! It has good flavor and we all agree that it is a keeper. My picky 14 year old son didn't like it as much. He refused to eat the green pepper and sweet and sour sauce. However, he did eat the batter dipped chicken cubes. Next time, I will make him his own batch of chicken because he ate a lot of our chicken. Also, I didn't have self rising flour so I had to find a recipe to make it using All Purpose Flour. It is really easy to make self rising flour. For each cup of all purpose flour, you add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Then mix to combine. This sweet and sour chicken is really good served over chicken rice.

Italian Style Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Loved this recipe! It is so delicious. I will be making this again since my whole family loved it, even my picky son. The only thing that I did differently was I used bread crumbs in a can because I didn't have any saltine crackers. I didn't have any problems with the coating staying on the pork chops.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I like this recipe better than the recipe that I have been using for years. I am going to start using this one from now on. No Bake Cookies are a favorite in my home and never last very long. Plus, they are really easy to make.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I love this recipe! It is so easy and everyone loves it! I have had many people ask me for the recipe. My sister just had me make it yesterday for my great niece's birthday party because she liked it so well when I made it for my son's party. The only thing that I did differently is that I added a whole 2 liter of A& W root beer instead of just a can. Once it is done, I drain all but about 2 cups of broth off of the meat then add Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce. This keeps it juicy and flavorful.

Citrus Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I used this recipe for my Thanksgiving turkey. The only modifications that I made was that I used 2 oranges and 2 lemons since our turkey was 24 lbs plus I had to used more than a gallon and a half of water. The turkey was very moist, juicy and flavorful. I had 2 people take this recipe home with them so they can use it. For the first time in years there was no left over turkey. I will be using this recipe from now on.

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Very tasty recipe. I used this recipe yesterday to marinade chicken for my 4th of July cookout. It got many compliments. For a lack of a few ingredients, I had to make some substitutions. I had to used ground mustard instead of spicy brown mustard since I didn't have any. I used regular soy sauce instead of reduced sodium soy sauce. Due to lack of time (found this recipe late), I marinade the chicken partially frozen in the refrigerator for about 4 hours. I cut 3 slits diagonally across on each side so it could soak it up in. Then we grilled it. It was SO juicy and flavorful!
