Mom's Potato Latkes

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2014
These are amazing! The only change I made was to use a 20oz bag of pre shredded potatoes. They have much less moisture so you don't have to squeeze all the water out. They came out perfect, and absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2014
The taste was ok, but the texture was horrible. They were soggy and limp and just awful. I want a fluffy, slightly crispy waffle and this was so not what I was looking for.

Flavorful Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2012
Delicious and really easy! I used a frozen bag of stir-fry veggies that included everything on the list. Much easier than chopping all those fresh veggies! Doubled the sauce too and it came out perfectly. Better than our local takeout place!

Caramelized Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
These are so easy and delicious! The only thing I changed was to take the wings out at the end, and crank up the heat a bit on the sauce to thicken it. Once it's thick, I add the wings back in, coat, and serve.

Thai Spicy Basil Chicken Fried Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
Delicious! Only change was using Sriacha sauce instead of serrano peppers (didn't have any) and adding just a touch of soy sauce at the end. Will definitely make this again and again.

Boneless Buffalo Wings

These were excellent! Didn't change a thing. They taste just like restaurant quality wings, definitely recommended. Quick & easy too!

Bread Machine Challah I

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Excellent challah! I followed the recipe exactly, except that I substituted soy milk for regular milk, because we're lactose intolerant. It came out perfectly in the bread machine, on the light setting. I will be making this again and again to use for sandwiches during the week.

Barlow's Blackened Catfish

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This was excellent! I only made a few slight changes, per the other reviews. I used half the amount of cayenne (1 teaspoon instead of 2), omitted the salt (it definitely didn't need salt), and used olive oil instead of the Italian dressing. The fish was really flavorful and moist and super easy to cook. Mine only took 15 min in the oven though, on 350. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I'll definitely be making it again.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
Excellent doctored cake mix recipe. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips and next time would definitely use mini ones. The regular sized ones were just too much chocolate overload. But the cake was moist and delicious and a perfect consistency. This one's a keeper!

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
This is delicious!! Very creamy and the cinnamon is great. I doubled the batch and thought I could make it all at once, in my 2qt Kitchenaid ice cream maker (attaches to the stand mixer). But that overloads the machine. So if you double it, just be sure to churn it in 2 separate batches. I got frustrated at first, because it wouldn't freeze right, but as soon as I split it up and tried again, perfection. So tasty, and I'm glad to finally have an ice cream recipe that doesn't require just yolks.

Cut-Out Cookies in a Flower Pot

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
This recipe is fantastic! The cookies are sweet, but not overly so, and have a great consistency. I wanted to make cut-outs and usually end up with broken cookies that don't survive. These survived being mailed across the country, and arrived in one piece! This is definitely a keeper.

Extra Gingery Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
This is an excellent recipe, reminiscent of the one I used to make in a wholesale bakery. I couldn't find crystallized ginger, so I had to omit it. And I only used 1/2 cup molasses instead of the full cup. It was perfect! The only thing I'd change next time is baking it for 45-50 minutes, as mine is slightly overbaked. It's still a keeper though -- thanks for the recipe!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2007
Very easy to make with everyday ingredients. I had everything in my kitchen to make these. They came out wonderfully! Nice and sweet but not overly so. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because they need an icing. Then they'd be perfect!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2007
SO good!! This recipe is incredibly easy and quick to make, but it tastes like a far more labor intensive recipe! I didn't change a bit and absolutely loved it.

Blender Chocolate Mousse II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
Very rich, good taste. This recipe does not work with white chocolate, probably because of the different oil content in white, vs. dark chocolate.

Chicken Vicious

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
I substituted rice wine vinegar and left out the ginger, and this dish was incredible! Very tangy, yet spicy and crunchy all in one. I would definitely cook this again!
