About this Cook
I come from a huge family...having 8 sisters and five brothers...meals were always huge. I'm grown now lol and have five boys of my own, all teenage (plus), who seem to finally enjoy grown up tastebuds!ha ha. I LOVE TO COOK, and i would say myself, being taught by my mother, who cooked for 16 people every night..i'm not half bad. My boys love my cooking, which i've been focusing on much more in the last year or so. I work full time, 40 hrs. a week, but i still try to find time to cook a delicious meal at home (from scratch), the majority of the week. The boys appreciate it and i get my own little rush from hearing "mom, this is sooooo good!" :)
My favorite things to cook
I don't want to say i have a favorite thing to cook because i'm always looking for something new. I prefer to make dinner recipes (that take 45 mins. to an hour), and then weekends i prefer to bake because i have that much more time.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole
I made this over the weekend, using canned sweet potatoes, and leaving out the pecans,(just wanting to try it without the pecans first for those pickier eaters), and we LOVED IT!!!! Yum, yum, YUMMM!!

Peanut Butter Bars I
I made these for my niece's bridal shower this past sunday and they turned out great. None left at the end of the party and a few asking for the recipe. I had a little bit of trouble getting them out of the pan...especially those first few...if you have a springform pan..(which i do have, but didn't think of it until after), i think it would be a big help to use one.

Pile it into a tomato half, load it into a wrap, or spread it on bread. Chicken salad does it all.
