Broken Spaghetti Risotto

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
I'm Italian and (if allowed) I would eat pasta everyday. But, I do find myself looking for different "sauces" instead of the normal red sauce once in a while, and this recipe fits the bill for something different. It is sooooo good, I agree with the one reviewer who said they could eat it all. I loved how it came out "creamy" and the flavor, wonderful. So happy to have found this. Thank you Chef John!

Awesome Ham Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
This is the most amazing pasta salad(IMHO). I made this recipe as written, only change was I used Miracle Whip instead of mayo. I used leftovers from a spiral cut ham. I wasn't sure about all of the red onion, as they can be really strong, but after sitting in the fridge for a day or two, it was nice and tangy, not too powerful. Do NOT skip the pickle juice and pickles (I chopped up 15 Gerkins), because we all thought it was the pickles and juice that "made" this salad so good. My husband (who was totally against it when he heard there was ham in it) is now addicted. He took it to work and his coworker said he could eat the entire bowl. I'm thinking the only thing I would ever change to this is to add cubed provolone next time. Looks like it's my new pasta salad from here on out. Thank you so much for this recipe, and to all the reviewers who posted. It really made the decision for me to try it. :)

Chicken Breasts Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
Made this tonight. It was easy enough, but I wasn't impressed (sorry). I seem to be one of the few, but I thought it was bland at best. My husband said it was okay, not great. Then again he's used to my highly seasoned cooking as well I guess. I wish I could be more descriptive in why, but I just didn't like the flavor of the sauce. I followed the recipe as written, no changes. Thanks for recipe though. :)

Spanish Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
Just made this tonight, and it was delish. My husband requested to put this in the "regular" meals file. I always try to make the recipe "as stated" first, before I change things, because to me that is not a fair opinion if you change everything in it. But in this case I had to a little (only cuz I didn't have it). I had to omit the Tumeric (didn't have any), and had to use dried green pepper (again didn't have fresh), but it's so liquid when you put it in the baking dish, you couldn't tell the difference when it was done. The chicken was so tender it fell apart. Next time I might add a little cayenne for a bit of heat. This was so easy and satisfying. I served it along with sweet corn cakes on the side, which really complimented it (in my opinion).

Game Day Sangria

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
I just made this tonight. It is amazingly good! And ready right away. Although I might someday try the fresh fruit version, I don't know after trying this one. It is delicious?? I kept the entire recipe the same except for one thing......I used regular Splenda for the sugar. Still awesome to me!!
