About this Cook
Before kids I cooked all the time because I loved it. Now that I have kids I cook because I have too! I used to make complicated dishes with rare ingredients. Now I make meals that are easy to prepare when kids are sleeping! I do love to teach my girls how to cook.

From this site, I like to cook "Beets and Sweets", "Mexican Lasagna", and trying different soups.

I love making soups from scratch on Bronco Sundays when it is snowing outside!

Sister Slaw
This was very good. I added toasted walnuts, craisins, and feta. I thought it was bland without the feta and divine with it.

Best Cream of Potato Soup
I've made a lot of potato soups in my day and many from this site. This is the best I have ever made. I was worried about the seasonings so I went light on them and I did add about 1/2 cup more each of milk and broth, used salt instead of chicken bouillon, and veggie broth and I added corn for my kids at the end because they love corn in their potato soup. Next time I will double the recipe because this got eaten up!

Veggie Delight on Garlic Bread
I omitted the basil (and garlic powder) and spread the baguette slices with basil pesto I made with basil from my garden since I wanted to use it up and this was amazing. I also used white eggplant which I peeled since I wasn't sure how the texture would turn out unpeeled. I brought it to a party and got lots of compliments.
