Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2002
This was very easy and similar to a recipe my mother made when I was a kid. I would lower the amount of water put in the crock because I like my gravy a little thicker. Served with mashed potatoes....YUM!

Hot Buttered Rum Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2002
Several years ago I bought a commercial brand from Alaska that was unbelievably good. This is almost as good. I think I may have put to much mix (2 HEAPING Tablespoons)into my cup. It was VERY sweet. I'm going to try it again with a little less mix.

Beer Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2002
While the meat was extremely tender, it really lacked taste! If I did it again I would use a 1/2 can of beer and add ALOT of seasoning.

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2002
I thought this was good.....I took the advice of other reviewers and browned my tenderloin. I also really spiced up the recipe with garlic, salt and pepper. It was great with mashed potatoes. The house smelled great while it was cooking. I would try with a pork roast next time I think the added fat would do wonders for the end taste. I will make this again.

Garlic Sauteed Artichokes

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2003
I decided that I would do the opposite to try to recreate a dish I had at an Italian resturant. I steamed the artichokes first than I sauteed them. Yummy! Buttery and garlicky they were tasty!

Double-Cheese Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2003
I've decided that maybe I don't like meat loaf? I think the best prepared meat loaf is made with finely ground meat. This was not may families favorite either, sorry.

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2003
This dip was good, but I added more onion and more garlic. It needed a little more seasoning. I also added some salt and pepper. I came home with an empty bowl from the party. I would make this again with some modifications.

Tapenade

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2003
This was VERY yummy and EASY to make. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and did it in a processor. It is great as a spread on a sandwich or on a cracker. Don't let the anchovies sway you to not make.....you can't even taste them. This will become a staple, Thanks, Jim!

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2003
Carol, thanks for such a yummy and easy recipe! I did not find it to salty, but I did mix the onion soup mix in with the the rest of the ingredients and the chicken was perfect. The best thing about this recipe is that it is made with staples that you always have in the house. This is a keeper! Oh, and my kids LOVED it!

Loosemeat Sandwiches I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2003
I was a little concerned about how this would turn out since I didn't have tomatoe juice or browning liquid. I used two tablespoons of ketchup and filled the rest to 1/4 with ketchup and substitued the browning with liquid smoke. The results.....DELICIOUS!!! thanks, Teri, this is a keeper!!!

Rum Raisin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
Very good flavor, however, my raisons all sunk to the bottom. I'm not sure if I added them to the machine at the wrong time or what. I was surprised they didn't taste more like rum.

Jalapeno Bread II

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2003
DELISH!!! This was very good! I don't think there was enough yeast in the recipe. I will bump it up next time. I used pickled jalapenos and they were just fine. I also used some shredded cheese that I had in the fridge. This was VERY moist and tasty. Thanks, Renee!

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
I thought this had a good flavor to it, but it was a little thick for my taste. I would thin it out with milk or perhaps 1/2 cream chees 1/2 sour cream? I also would maybe add some mozerella cheese for more cheesier taste. I would make this again with some modifications.

This time I double it and added pork saugage like some of the other recipes. YUMMY! It was a huge hit at the bar b que!**

Elegant Lemon Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2003
I just finished eating this dish. I don't think I would make it again as it is. It seems to me that it is a bbq sauce want to be. I would expand on the sauce a little bit further. It reminded me of a bbq sauce my mother has made for years and I think it would work for this: 1 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup worcestershire sauce, 1 T of chili powder, 1 T of salt, 2 dashes of tabasco and 2 cup of water. Put in a sauce pan until mixed and heat it up pour over the pork chops with lemons and sliced onions.....Yum. 450 for 30 minutes then go to 350 for 45 minutes. You'll get more of a bbq sauce and it is tasty...

Alaskan BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2003
I just got up from the dinner table after eating this. It is OK....I made it in the foil like a couple of the others had suggested, but I think throwing it on the grill without the foil would have been way better. I think the sugar would have cramelized and it would of had a better taste. Doing it in the foil just left a runny sauce.
