Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
I made a few changes due wanting to use the just using the stuff I already had on hand. Substituted cheddar cheese soup(campbells) for one of the soups, and added 2 cups of shredded cheddar instead of Velveeta. Added most of it into the casserole, just sprinkled a little on top. Also used regular rice that I had precooked, just added it into the soup mixture before throwing in the oven. Great recipe and a keeper!

Maria's Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
Very good flavor!! Next time I make it I will cut back on the water, it came out very mushy. Next time I am going to add only 2 cups of water. Also instead of it simmering and trying to burn, I boil the mixture initially for about 3 minutes, Stir, cover and turn off the burner and let it steam to finish, about 20 minutes.(Do this for all of my rice). Great recipe, added it to my recipe box!

This recipe was really good! Made chicken/bacon/swiss/lettuce wraps and this made a fabulous topping. Great flavor. I might try it with yogurt next time like another user suggested to see if I can cut down on calories, but I wouldnt change a thing. A Keeper!

King Ranch Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2013
It was ok. After also adding a can of corn I barely had enough filling to complete two layers. The filling was ok, but I thought it was a little bland.

Quick Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
It is a great, easy idea for garlic bread, I will probaly cut back the basil waaaay back next time. I mixed all ingredients then spread on the bread, figured it was the easiest way to get the parm to stick to the bread without it getting all over. Thanks for the great idea!

Scalloped Potatoes II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
My scalloped potatoe curse is still with me. Just cant seem to get them right. I added onion and diced ham to this recipe, it was ok, it would really help to know how much salt to add, I didnt put nearly enough in and it was kind of bland. Added cheese between layers and on top. My milk seperated on me though and while they didnt taste bad, they werent aesthetically appealing. My bad probably

This looks so good and the stuffing idea is genius! I am going to try it with my leftover turkey and buy a box of stove top. Going to try and brown the stuffing balls and put them in the bowl and pour the soup over the top. Thanks for the Great idea!(only gave 4 stars since I havent tried it yet)

Microwave Pralines

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Very good. The first time I went 9 minutes in my little microwave and had some trouble getting them to set up. So next time I decided to go with 12 minutes..not a good idea. They turned into powder on me before I could get them spooned out. To the consistency of brown sugar :( Taste was great on the first batch, going to try again with maybe 10 minutes. Using Mini muffin pan this time instead of leting them spread of wax paper.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
Made this numerous times, still FABULOUS!! I will note, that I didnt have cinnamon so I tried pumpkin pie spice, 3 tsp, but I realized later that it didnt have the cloves, and I felt it really needed the cloves. Made another batch this morning, used 2 1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 tsp of cloves, expect it to go as fast as the first! Yesterday I made 2 big loaves, then had enough batter to make 3 of the mini loaves, spread them around and got nothing but rave reviews. Thank you!

Porcupines

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
Instead of using tomatoes, I used mushroom soup, 1 can milk, 1 can of water and poured over uncooked meatballs. Cooked for 1 hour, then flipped the meatballs over and covered and cooked for an additional 30-45 min. Pulled meatballs out, added a little milk to stretch gravy, added a little salt and pepper to gravy, thickened and served over potatoes. GREAT Recipe, Family LOVED it

Yakitori Chicken

I have also saved all of the marinade, put it on the stove bring to a boil(to kill off any bad chicken germs). Then added some cornstartch to thicken. Dunk or drizzle over the cooked skewers just before serving..yummy!..going to try them out on my Japanese friend tommorrow for s-bowl. We will see how a 'expert' rates them :-)
