About this Cook
Mother of three, wife to one;)who loves to cook for friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, breakfast, Holiday meals, comfort foods, anything my mom use to make that reminds me of home
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting together with friends to bake Christmas cookies. My mom always took me with her to one of her friend's houses to bake cookies all day. We would end up with cookies to freeze for the entire holiday season.
My cooking triumphs
Hosting Thanksgiving at my house for 16 people. I did all the cooking and it turned out great.
My cooking tragedies
Inviting friends over for ribs and chicken on the grill. I had never made ribs before and it was storming outside so my grill kept going out. I ended up finishing in the oven but it was over an hour later and it just was a mess of the meal. Thankfully I had great guests and we enjoyed the evening anyway.

Hash Brown and Egg Casserole
I made two pans of this recipe last night. One I baked right away for my family and the other I baked this morning for a baby shower. The one I baked last night I made just as the recipe stated. It was good but I needed to salt and pepper the hash browns a bit more than I had. This morning I decided to add more salt and pepper, while mixing up everything (instead of keeping it in layers) and added more cheese to the top. That really made it great. This is a very versatile recipe. Try using whatever you have on hand, ham or bacon instead of or in addition to the sausage, more onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, added seasonings... Next I may try sausage, onion, bell peppers, taco seasoning and serve with salsa and sour cream. Definitely going to use this recipe again.

Tater Crisp Chicken
This is super easy and I loved it! I did add salt and pepper. I also flipped the chicken half way through the cooking time to make both sides really crispy. This is a keeper in our family.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Cookies
Yummy!!! And so easy! I made these for a cookie exchange and they turned out great. I even had a friend call to tell me they were her favorite:) Thanks for the recipe.
