My favorite family cooking traditions
For thanksgiving we make a big spread with all the traditional foods and wait for all our friends who like us have no family nearby. We have no idea who is going to show up or if any, but the table is always full by the end of the day, and of course I do the cooking giving the wife the day off so she watches the ball games with a glass of wine and whoever shows up.

Real Chiles Rellenos
We have been making rellenos for years but have never dredged the chiles or put them in the freezer, that just put it over the top. For anyone looking for the real thing this is it.

I lived in Germany for a few years quite some time ago and I have yet to have any recipe come even close to what is one of my favorite meals. The meat should be very tender and juicy and the sauce is more of a hunter sauce served with a good Pilsner beer , sorry but this is not it. This was not meant to be a pretentious meal just good home cooking like mom's roasted beast.

Blue Cheese Burgers
The burgers came out very juicy and with so much flavor, I cooked mine on a flat grilling iron for my gas grill, better than the burger joint.
