Chocolate Chip Pie IV

Soooooooo good! I decreased the sugar to 3/4 cup and used brown instead of white. I also increased the flour by 1/4 cup. It really does taste just like a chocolate chip cookie in a pie crust! My kids were in heaven. :)

Lemon Cream Cupcakes

Lemon Fluff Cake

What a great, light cake! Perfect for warm weather when you don't want anything dense and heavy. Mild panic when I realized my lemon extract was actually banana extract, but I used 6T lemon juice and it was perfect. Great lemony aftertaste! (I also used butter instead of shortening.) Thank you for the recipe!!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Sugar Cookies

These are really, really good. We just made Halloween cut-outs with the dough and they turned out perfectly. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Held the shape of the cookie cutter better than any other recipe I have tried. Thank you so much!

Banana Chocolate Chip Cake

YUM! I took the other reviewers advice and used baking soda instead of powder and baked it in a 9x9 pan. Thick, not too dense, super moist...my daughter said, "you're going to need to make this more often!" Great replacement for tired old banana bread!!!

French Bread Rolls to Die For

OMG!! These are insanely good. Exactly like rolls from a restaurant. I baked them at 375 since the other reviewers complained of burned bottoms. Also, I didn't have bread flour, so I used all-purpose and added some gluten. The recipe made a dozen, big, fluffy, chewy, perfect rolls. Thank you!

These are really, really, really good! Not too dense, not too fluffy, just perfect. I used a powdered sugar/vanilla/milk icing b/c I don't care for think icings, but they were excellent without any icing at all!!

Sunday Brunch Casserole

So good!! I used 10 eggs instead of 12 (because I wanted to make cookies later) and it was plenty. I put shredded hash browns in the dish with some butter and cooked them for 20 minutes, then poured the egg mixture over them. Yummy!

Veggie Casserole

I changed up this recipe a bit, but still think it deserves five stars. Yummy!! I cooked up a couple of potatoes, carrots, and onions in olive oil and added it to the veggie mixture. 98% fat free celery soup, light sour cream, and low fat butter crackers. Even my super-picky, hates-all-vegetables eater cleaned her plate!! Goes great with corn muffins. :)

Chili Potato Burritos

YUM! We were looking for a filling vegetarian meal and these burritos were great! I added a can of fat free refried beans and an onion. Used a whole can of enchilada sauce on top. Will definitely make this again!!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

YUM! I've been using the same chocolate chip oatmeal cookie recipe for 15 years (we call them cowboy cookies), but thought I would try a new one. So glad I did! These cookies are chewy, moist, and almost gone. :) I made a few minor changes...used all brown sugar, less salt (just a shake), added a whole tsp of soda and a half of baking powder. I'm going to throw out my old recipe! Thank you!!

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Amazing!! I've had blah results every time I've tried to make a homemade chocolate cake, but had never tried adding to a store-bought mix. I should have tried it sooner! This cake is pure wow. Better than any bakery cake I've ever had. I didn't have any troubles at all and didn't change anything except I used vanilla instead of almond extract. YUMMY!
