Rick's Big Bad Bean Burrito

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2014
Good solid burrito. Nothing fancy, nothing left out.

Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
I agree a little with another reviewer that the chicken flavor was too strong as the recipe stands, so I think next time I will substitute vegetable stock next time.

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2014
So frickin' easy! I do what one other reviewer suggested and let the divided dough sit under a wet towel for ten minutes, and boy does that make all the difference. I think the original poster didn't have burritos or other wraps in mind when they set the servings though, I make 16 per recipe.

Pasta e Fagioli I

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2014
This is now my go to soup, it's soooooo delicious! I do what some others suggested and add more beef/chicken stock, for a more "soup" consistency. I also use whatever beans I have on hand, usually soy beans. If you've never done a soup before, start with this one!

Cheddar and Vegetable Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2013
This is simple enough to make and tastes good, although I would make a few changes. I agree with one of the other reviewers that it CAN be bland, but that of course is where your own creativity comes in. I mixed bread crumbs and parsley with the cheese topping, and next time I plan on adding black pepper and parsley to the cheese sauce. I will definitely make this again!

Fortune Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
quick, easy, what more could you want in a fortune cookie recipe? I used a spoon to spread the batter out which worked well. You don't need to make it too thin to get a crispy finish.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2012
I really liked these, and they were a big hit at our Thanksgiving party last week, but I plan on making a few changes next time. I'll probably slice half of the apples into rings, and the other half into cubes. I'll toss the apples with the spices instead sprinkling them too. Then, instead of slicing the baguette into 1 1/2 inch slices, I'll probably slice them a lot thinner to make two layers of bread that I can sandwich the apple-rings between and then top with the cubes. I'm still thinking of a way to make this more like fried french-toast instead of bread-pudding.

Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
these are great as is, although I thought to sub sea salt for table salt as topping. You do need to roll it pretty thin for it to come out crispy though. I will definitely keep making these!
