Crisp Tortellini Bites

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
I wasn't sure when I made these how they were going to go over...but they were a big success!! Everyone enjoyed them. I followed another persons suggestion about making sure the tortellini are well coated so they don't dry out. I put the tortellini (a few at a time) into the mixture and stirred - it was much easier than trying to dip them individually. Great recipe - will definitely make again.

Deviled Eggs I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2004
This recipe was not only easy to follow but was a smash hit too!! My family wanted to test them for me before the company arrived. They were gone in record time. A definite keeper!!

Mimi's Slumgullion

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2003
This recipe was so easy to follow and so easy to make. My husband couldn't wait until it was ready - it smelled great while cooking. I used the Lite Turkey kielbasa and it still tasted great. This is a definite keeper!!

Kelsey's Favorite Stuffed Green Peppers

These stuffed peppers were not only moist and tasty but very easy to make. The spices were just right - I didn't have to change a thing!

Maria's Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2003
The recipe was easy to follow, although I felt like all thumbs trying to stuff the chicken breasts and then put toothpicks in to hold together. Watch out for those toothpicks!! The chicken was moist and very flavorful. I made with pasta, but my husband and son had with french fries!! To each his own . . . I would recommend this recipe.

Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2003
The recipe was fairly easy to follow but I found the pork a little dry. It might be because I used thin pork chops so next time I will try it with 1" chops. I didn't like the apples by themselves - but when eaten with the pork, it was a pretty good flavor combination.

Turkey Sausage Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2003
Recipe was so easy to follow and quick to make. My family really enjoyed this one - even though my son wasn't crazy about the peas!! He ate them anyway. I didn't have to make any changes to this recipe - it was tasty as is. Nice addition to our menu.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2003
I'm not sure what happened with this recipe but the noodles practically disintigrated. The soup/stew mixture was tasty but it was all lumped together and didn't look all that appealing. I didn't use frozen noodles and mayber that's what made the difference. I will try again and see what happens.

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2003
The recipe was easy to follow and it was a big hit in my house!! I only had to make a few minor changes which were: 2 bay leaves, 1 can crushed tomatoes, 2 Tbsp. Worsteshire sauce and 2 Tbsp. Sherry. Also, when I make the next time I won't add quite as much broth - I had to take some of the liquid out & add flour to it and then dump back in to thicken. I made in the crock pot and it took 6-8 hours but was well worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2003
The recipe was easy to follow and very simple. This was my second attempt at making Rice pudding from scratch (I had previously tried another recipe). This one was much tastier and not as dry. I would definitely try again and maybe use a little more milk - still not creamy enough for my taste.

Baked Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2003
The recipe was easy to follow and the flavor was good, however, the pudding is a little drier than I would like. I will try again and make some adjustments to the original recipe.

Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2003
This recipe was very easy to follow and it was easy to make. My family is usually fussy and they don't always like to try new things. This was definitely the exception to the rule because they all loved it !!
