Oven-Roasted Asparagus
Great recipe if you add all of the optional ingredients. I would prepare the dish directly in the baking pan in lieu of a separate mixing bowl in the future. I also recommend less olive and shorter cooking time if you prefer a crisp asparagus, otherwise this is a perfect flavorful side dish. Husband loved and it was easy to make!

Honey Coconut Salmon
Great salmon dish my husband and I enjoyed immensely during a work day. During my third trimester, time is premium, so it was nice to make a fish dish that was so flavorful, yet required minimal time and preparation. This is also a great compliment to the dish noting my husband despises salmon. I did add curry powder and fresh ground black pepper to add savory flavors and some heat. I also reduced the butter markedly as I found it excessive and unnecessary. Reducing the sugar (the coconut is sweet enough) and butter made for a slightly healthier fish without the excessive sweetness others noted. Overall, this is a great base recipe in need of minimal modification, but definitely add some curry powder and pepper!

Old Italian Meat Sauce
My Italian/German husband said this is the best sauce he has had in years (I am not Italian, so I felt great to give him an Italian meal he truly enjoyed)! I only used 1/2 cup of wine, omitted the paste, and added fresh tomatos, fresh red pepper, crushed red pepper, and easily doubled the herbs. I also added a dash of Kosher Salt and garlic powder and significantly more fresh garlic (We love garlic in this household). We used ground turkey and hot italian chicken sausage for the proteins. It was a great combination of heat and savory flavors with great texture. This is a great base recipe that you can build upon to meet your family's needs. Wonderful recipe!
