Big Soft Ginger Cookies

I remember making these but they got eaten before I had a chance to taste them myself. My husband and kids said these are the best ginger cookies ever. Even better than their favorite ones from Trader Joes.. This is a keeper. Thanks!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Being a southerner this is exactly what I was looking for. If you are familiar with and love sweet slaw look no further. This is the recipe you want. The only thing I did differently was reduce the sugar just a tad and used onion powder (didn't have an onion on hand). Thank you, Sandi!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

I followed the directions to a T. I've been accustomed to Texas bbq for over a decade now and this did NOT give me what I was wanting. It was easy, very moist, fall apart chicken but the flavor and consistency wasn't there. Hubby and I didn't care for it, kids loved it. Thanks for sharing but I probably won't make this again.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

This is by far the best pumpkin bread I've made. After so many times making this exactly as written I've made a few changes just to suit my familys dietary needs. I use half white flour and half whole wheat flour. And omit the oil and use applesauce in place of. The results are just as fabulous. Thank you Laurie for posting this recipe. My family will enjoy this for many more years to come.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Wish I read the bad reviews on this before I bothered making this. I figured since it had so many great reviews I didn't need to bother with the not so good ones. I have learned a lesson. This pumpkin bread recipe has WAY TOO MUCH nutmeg. My family loves nutmeg and cinnamon but this was insanely too much. You couldn't taste the pumpkin at all and the mix of spices just gave it a weird flavor. This would be a great recipe if you only used 1 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. I will definitely stick to my other recipe I got on allrecipes for pumpkin bread. It has never failed me! If you haven't tried Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread I highly suggest you do. It is wonderful!

Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream

This is absolutely wonderful! I wouldn't call it ice cream ... it is more of a frozen custard. But, whatever you want to call it, it is definitely a winning recipe. Very simple to make, very rich and creamy. Exactly what we were looking for. So far this is our favorite recipe. Thank you for sharing Mary!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

My family LOVES this recipe. I'm feeding 3 picky kids and a husband who is even worse. The only changes in this recipe is I use orange juice instead of the sherry and I use olive oil with a pat of butter instead of vegetable oil. It's so hard to find a recipe that everyone in my house likes. This one definitely takes care of that. Thank you for sharing the recipe, Anne Marie! This is family favorite.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

A little taste of this cake can take care of a chocolate fix really quick. My son and I made this cake for his birthday. He was more than pleased with the outcome. We made this cake and used the Rich Chocolate Frosting recipe to top it off. So wonderful! Everyone loved it! However, I did have to change the recipe and "lighten" it up a bit. I did what another reviewer suggested by exchanging veg oil for applesauce, sour cream for fat free, egg whites, and used fat free - sugar free pudding mix. It tasted so sinful ... just a little healthier than the original.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

This was so easy and wonderfully delicious! My son wanted chocolate cake with chocolate icing for his birthday. This was easy enough for him to make. Everyone loved it and was amazed how great it tasted. We made a two layer 9in cake and cut the recipe in half as others said. It was PLENTY. Thank you for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was amazing! My kids even ate it all up. I did exchange the beer for chicken broth since we didn't have any beer on hand. It turned out excellent. Wish I lived in colder climate so I could enjoy this soup more often.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

These are excellent! I had to find something that I could make on my new griddle. This was PERFECT! My kids said they were the best pancakes they have ever had. I will have to agree. Very easy and very tasty! Highly recommend. Definitely a new Sunday tradition.

No Beans About It - Chili

I made this for my husband since he won't eat beans in chili. It turned out pretty good. BUT, it would probably be a better recipe if used as a thick spagetti sauce. The recipe isn't spicy at all and needs about double the spices of what the recipe actually calls for. I have to give it 4 stars cause it does taste good. I'll make it again but for spagetti instead ... not chili.
