Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2003
Such an easy recipe!! I put diced garlic under the pieces and sprinkled garlic powder on top. Only change I will make next time is to either use boneless chicken breasts or cut the larger pieces of chicken into halves or thirds so that the bbq taste will penetrate more. Perhaps slashing the chicken pieces will allow the taste to penetrate, also. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Easiest Teriyaki Marinade Ever

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
A definite winner!! Do use the cinnamon; it gives a different zing than the usual ginger in a teriyaki marinade. I thought the Asian Barbequed Steak on this site was the best marinade I have ever used (and still do, please do yourself a favor and try it for a wonderful marinade), but this was almost as good. Thanks for a great recipe.

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
Just made this tonight. I added some powdered garlic to the mayo (really I used Miracle Whip), and since I had no Parmesan, just put feta cheese on top. Just the flavored spread by itself on the bread was great. However, all ingredients together made a wonderful treat. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
I'd give it more stars if I could. Excellent as a dip for pinwheels, vegggies, etc. Also great over chicken. Thanks, Amy.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
I had high hopes for this based on the great reviews, but even though I used fresh herbs, rubbed some under the skin and marinated 3 hours and basted while cooking, the taste did not penetrate. Sorry, but thanks for sharing.

Delayed Heat BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2003
Just wanted to up my rating to 5*. I made this again since I liked all the ingredients, added some cayenne pepper, marinated for 48 hours, and it was great! Such a nice change from so many marinades with soy sauce. Thanks for the recipe!

Dill Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2003
Really enjoyed this over tomatoes from the garden. With all the rain this year, the tomatoes don't seem to have as much taste as usual, and this greatly added to the flavor. Thanks for the recipe.

Curry Chicken Salad

Even without the eggs (cause I was out of them), this was a great chicken salad. Can't wait to make again with eggs added. Thanks for the recipe.

This was just OK. I did use fresh herbs, but something seemed to be missing. Sorry.

Mid-Summer Italian Bread Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2003
Wonderful flavor!! I only used 8 slices of bread, 4 toasted and 4 not toasted to see which way we liked it. We much preferred the untoasted bread. Thanks for a great recipe.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2003
This was very good, but almost too rich! Next time I will try another reviewer's suggestion to add 1/2 cup white wine to cut the richness. Thanks for sharing.

This recipe just didn't work for us. I used fresh from the garden cucumber and mint and followed the directions, but it just did not have much taste. Sorry, but thanks for sharing.

I had high hopes for this salad as I liked all the ingredients, and I have mint growing in the garden. However, it was just average. It just didn't work for us. Sorry, but thanks for sharing.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2003
I know I'm in the minority but this just tasted like a bland barbequed chicken. I always try a recipe exactly as it is written the first time, but this time I guess I should have added some of the suggestions from other reviewers. Thanks for sharing the recipe, but it just didn't work for us.
