About this Cook
I'm a new army wife and momma. I love both :) After working my butt off going to school and paying rent and bills for 4 years, I am thoroughly enjoying being a homemaker..finally having the time to cook and clean. And bake, of course. I always loved baking in high school but didn't discover my true passion for it until recently, especially baking from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
I just love going to the farmer's market and getting freshly picked produce then searching allrecipes for cool things to do with whatever ingredients i have a plethora of..
My favorite family cooking traditions
cookies. chocolate chip cookies, in particular. thanks, mom for introducing me to the art of baking through this recipe. i'd always make my brothers or sisters stir up the wet ingredients while i mixed the dry, hehe. this is pre-kitchenaid, of course. they loved my cookies enough to do the dirty work for me.
My cooking triumphs
anytime i try something that sounded so intimidating before and it turns out a success, and usually way easier than i thought it would be.
My cooking tragedies
the first time i make something, it always turns out perfect. then, the second time it just doesn't come out right. i find that second time just doesn't have the TLC i put into my original attempt, like i get cocky with my food or something. now, i make sure that my heart is always in my creation.

No Bake Pizza Appetizer
Made my own revisions based on personal preferences. I made 'Best Spinach Dip Ever' and 'Quick and Easy Pizza Crust' from this site. I added bacon bits (quick tip- saw on Food Network the other day cut up the bacon with scissors before cooking it, worked so well). diced tomatoes, diced red onion and parmesan cheese. It was muy delicioso.
