Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
Be sure to add your own spices. I used cumin, poultry seasoning, black pepper, garlic, and season salt. I also seasoned the biscuit dough before putting it in the crock pot. Following other reviewers suggestions I cooked the sauce and chicken in the crock pot for about 2 hours and 40 min. I did substitute chicken broth for the water. I then shredded the chicken and added the seasoned dough. 1 can of biscuits is a plenty!!! Cooked it all for another 90 min. The biscuits were very dumpling like. Pretty tasty! I would make this again. It got good ratings around the dinner table.

Good and easy recipe. For more cheese flavor, I added another 4 oz of cream cheese (half a block). Worked out great...

Very good. Added more cheese and more wine. You'll need to vary the seasonings to your taste.

Good receipe. I added more cheese, sugar, and fresh mushrooms instead of the canned. The amount of sauce may look excessive, but you should use it all. Otherwise, the final dish will be dry.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
This was good. I used new potatoes as others suggested. I used beef granules, a can of beef broth, with a little extra water because it was going to cook (unsupervised) for 10+ hours. I put the vegetables (I omitted carrots - personal preference,an added whole button mushrooms) on top of the meat and they did not turn out mushy. I used the extra fluid in slow cooker to make a gravy which we put over the potatoes. Turned out nicely.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
These are huge cookies, (3" diameter) if using cooled dough and a 1/4 cup dough per cookie. Its a good cookie, but not as "fat" (thick) as I was hoping for. Its worth the minimal effort.

Chicken Marsala

One of our all time favorites. I serve this with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. I add more wine than the recipe calls for to create a sauce for the potatoes. Simply Wonderful!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
This was pretty good. I goofed up the recipe by adding too much butter to the cookie dough batter. I think this caused the cake not to finish cooking in the center. The top was cracked (as if overbaked), but the center was undone. Chalk it up to USER ERROR. Still a good recipe though! I will be trying it again...

Better Homes and Gardens Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2003
This is truly a soup that "eats like a meal". It is very good. I scaled back the recipe to accomodate a smaller audience. I didn't have any green onions or fresh dill on hand, so I used sweet onions, and added some parsley flakes for color. It was simply delicious. The next time I will add more bacon, and more salt to taste, but the recipe as provided is truly wonderful!!

this was too sweet for most of my family, but i thought it was very good. in the future, i will make the pudding in a bowl instead of the pan, so that it will create layers, and add another banana.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2003
Fantastic...excellent recipe! Although, there doesn't seem to be enough sauce. I got to the second layer and realized that I wasn't going to have enough to finish layering. To compensate I added a bit of jarred spaghetti sauce to the sauce I had already made. It turned out great! Also, I only needed 9 noodles, not the twelve that the receipe calls for. We are savoring the left overs.

Fantastic...I little bit too sweet, but great nonetheless - very moist. The next time I will use boneless skinless chicken breast.
