I've tried this pie twice now, and it's still just okay. The first time, I followed the recipe to the letter, and while the pie was fine, it wasn't tart enough for me -- in fact, there wasn't much lemon flavour at all. The second time, I added the juice and zest from three lemons instead of two, which should have worked just fine, but I also made the mistake of substituting milk for the water, a suggestion made by other reviewers. I will never, ever add milk to a lemon meringue pie again. It ruined the consistency for me entirely.
In all, this pie was easy to make, and if that's what you're looking for in a lemon meringue pie, this is the one for you. Personally, I'd rather put in the extra effort for a really smashing pie.
