Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Beyond delicious. Made almost to yhe T. Used a top round roast on low for 8hours. Served on rolls with provolone cheese under the broiler until toasted. Used the left over juices from the meat as an au jus for the sandwich. Hubby said .... To die for!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
We all love this chicken. I add a cut up onion to the pan and use a mixture of garlic salt on the inside of the bird and regular salt on the outside. We had this with Scalloped Potatoes and Onions and BLT salad. Delicious! All the plates were clean.

This is a favorite in our home. It's quick, easy, moist and delicious. I don't change anything with the recipe and always use fresh buttermilk.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
These were fabulous! The bacon really keeps the chicken moist. I used some of the marinade while grilling which seasoned the onion and pineapple nicely. Even my picky 6 year old liked them. I might make a maple sauce to drizzle over when done cooking next time.

French Baguettes

I had to write a second review for this bread. We make it at least 3 times a week now. I use my kitchen aid to mix it and it comes out superb! We also make them into sesame and poppy seed rolls. Fool proof recipe if you follow the directions. Thanks for sharing it.

Vietnamese Rice-Noodle Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
This is a great recipe. For our taste I changed a few things. I only use one clove of garlic. 5 was way to much. I also do not use jalapeno's. Instead of 3 tbs fish sauce I use 1 tsp just to add a hint of flavor. Also I use just a few leaves of mint so as not to overpower the salad. We omit the cabbage. As garnish we leave out chili garlic and peanuts to add optionally. The flavors blend over time so this is best on the 2nd day. Nice light fresh flavor for summer.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
all i can see is OMG. These are incredible. Even my picky 5 year old gobbled these up and asked for more. Here are the only changes I made to them. I beat the egg and put the wings in the egg. I added plenty of flour to coat them and fried them in about 1/3 cup of butter. Just enough to get them brown and not dry out as I fried them. I made the sauce with 1/2 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. white sugar. I added a a tsp of ground ginger and used ginger flavord soy sauce and added chopped green onions and seasme seeds to the sauce and boiled it to melt the sugar. Pour the sauce over the wings and basted every 10-15 mins. Baked about 55 min and these were PERFECT. I will be making these over and over again!!!!!!!

these came out fantastic! everyone gobbled them up. the only change i made was I did not have salsa so I used taco sauce. it had a nice tang without big peices of tomato in it. I also baked the chips ahead of time which made all the difference. will make again and again! thanks so much

Chicken and Dumplings IV

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This came out really good and DH and kids loved it. I used left over chicken from grilling for the meat. I made it into a broth and then peeled the meat off. I substituted the water for the chicken broth I had made. I also used one can of Cream of Chicken soup to give it more flavor and I made biscuits with Bisquick. It all was terribly good and we'll eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

this was fabulous!! I added an extra can of diced tomatoes and only about 2 tbs of heavy cream. Everyone's plate was clean as a whistle when dinner was done and hubby said this was the best dish in ages. Great meal!
