Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
So tasty. This was soo tasty. I took the advice of other commentors and left out the juice for my diced tomatoes. It still came out a bit too liquidy so I added a tbsp of constartch and water mixture just before adding my shrimp.

Great recipe. Only changes I made was added a bit of garlic to the pan while cooking the chicken (because I love garlic.)

Country Fried Steak and Milk Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
This was my first time making country fried steak on my own and I think it came out pretty tasty. I ended up adding too much salt, so next time I will reduce the amount of extra seasoning. All in all good recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
Really nice recipe. My boyfriend and I enjoyed it. The only thing I changed was I tossed the meat in the flour mixture and browned it. Then I deglazed the pan w/ beef broth, worteshire sauce, and one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. I also kept my tempture on high for 3 hrs and then finished it off on slow. The meat was tender and well seasoned. Thanks!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
For my first try at lasagna this turned out pretty good. I took a lot of different suggestions from the reviews. I used cooked noodles instead of uncooked, I doubled on the spices a bit, and I used three 14.5oz cans of diced tomatoes to keep from having a dry sauce. I didn't have any basil on hand so I substituted that for Italian Seasonings. I also left it in the fridge overnight covered before baking. It turned out really tasty.

French Toast I

Nice simple recipe, very tasty. Used Challa bread for mine and added a tad bit more vanilla since I like the taste. Popped some honey butter on it at the end. Yum.

Thirty Minute Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Loved it and so did my family. The only changes I made was I seasoned my ground beef before cooking with salt, pepper, garlic salt, red pepper flakes, and paprika. I added sour cream, cheddar cheese, and chives to the final dish. It was delicious!!

My family LOVED this dish. It was a hit at Christmas. Didn't make any real changes to the recipes, prefect as is.

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: May 8, 2003
These turned out wonderful. I did what other reviewers suggested and boiled the ribs first for two hours, before covering them with the sauce and baking them for 25 mintues. Needless to say we had no leftovers that night.

Honey Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2003
I didn't like this recipe at all. It was very messy to create, the spices I placed on the chicken before I dipped into the honey only slid off. Then the honey topping burned during the cooking process.

Orange Spiced Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2003
I wasn't too fond of this recipe, and I don't think I'll make it again anytime soon. Like others before me have said, the orange taste really didn't stand out well. I think I should've read the reviews before I made this.

Peanut Butter Cookies VI

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2003
This was a great cookie recipe. I took the suggestion of the other reviewers and added one cup of peanut butter instead of just 1/2. I also added some Reese's peanut butter chips. They came out awesome.

Great recipe! Since I didn't have an Worcestershire sauce, I used soy sauce instead. It ended up tasting greater than I expected.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Loved this recipe, the chicken turned out nice and crispy, however it wasn't hot enough for me. Next time I'll add more hot sauce and some hot peppers.
