Blue Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
This is just delicious! I'm not a walnut fan so used pecans, and made the first one exactly otherwise...I also made a second and added a half cup dried cranberries and it is also out of this world delicious! This is an A-1 keeper! Thank you!

Sleepy Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
This was like a mocha Lava cake, and is delicious! I could see how others would be confused because it's with the "coffee cakes"...it's definetly a dessert cake. And Yummy!

Thank you so much for the heads up on this in the recipe exchange. My mother is absolutely thrilled to have found it, and made it for the last family picnic. The raves were unbelievable. Thanks soooo much! :)

Hawaiian French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
YUM, YUM & YUM again!! This is an awesome alternative to the super heavy french toast I'm used to. It will be a perfect summer breakfast out by the pool!! I think I definetly have to add toasted coconut on top next time, and may experiment with the syrup...but this is just great! Thank you! :)

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2002
This many reviews can't be wrong! I used Mrs. Dash Italian on the layers for extra flavor...It's a Wednesday night staple at our house...It's meatless, healthy and delicious! :) And by the way, Paul Newmans sauce is the best I've found to go with this...

Cream Cheese Pickles

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2002
I just popped on to add this recipe! My Mom made them over Thanksgiving and I couldn't stop eating them! They are absolutely addicting!! She used ham instead of beef... and I may try them using just cream cheese and tortillas with the pickle...many of my friends are not big on meat. But this is a must try! :)

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2002
This is extremely good...I did change the walnuts to almonds, and added a pinch of salt (salt kicks up the taste of chocolate) and it was wonderful!! Be careful though, I burned my second batch by chattering on the phone a bit too long...once they're done, they're done! :)

Spring Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
I made two batches of this today. It is wonderfully good!! :) It's going to friends and family for the holidays. The first batch I made as per the recipe. You HAVE to try this! It's amazing! For the second batch I made the basic recipe, adding only chopped almonds and almond flavoring (1/4 teaspoon) Then drizzled with white and dark chocolate. These make a beautiful presentation together. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe...it's going into my permanent book, the one that is going to be passed down to my son (who loves to cook)! :)

Hot Cocoa Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
Just a note...this is a super recipe, but you will want to stick with the powdered sugar, only because it helps to make it thick and rich, and unless you use superfine sugar, white sugar will most likely end up at the bottom of the container because it's heavier than all the other ingredients. I added a bit more cocoa powder, and also added a jar of amaretto creamer to a batch, it was amazing!! For a batch for the kids I added about a cup and a half more powdered sugar, and on another batch I added cinnamon sticks inside the containers I sent. I have never had so many raves...this is a keeper, and one to definetly experiment with!! :) *Extra added Note* I just made a new batch omitting one cup of the milk for 2 small containers of cinnamon creamer, and using 1 cup of nestles quick along with the cocoa (ok, so christmas is depleting my pantry a bit!) :) But it was so incredibly good that I decided to keep the whole batch for our family and go to the store to make a new one!! One Last note, added in 2009, while making the cocoa last year, I found that making it all in a big kitchen trash bag made this SO much easier to mix...really, try it, you'll love it!!
