About this Cook
I'm married and absolutely love cooking for my husband. We love to travel and try different types of food. We are both foodies...I think my husband more so than me.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Italian food as it is easy and fast (in most cases)as well as delicious! But I would love to cook with seafood more.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My all time favorite memory is cooking with my mother for Thanksgiving. She is from South Carolina and we have all the traditional Southern food, collard greens, chitlins (chitterlings), dressing, mac and cheese, turkey, mashed potatoes and ham. Sometimes even fried pork skins....yes...best family tradition ever! Except cleaning the chitlins!
My cooking triumphs
When I cooked an entire Chinese dinner from scratch and it tasted like it came from an actual restaurant.
My cooking tragedies
Hmmmm, I guess I have three. 1. When I set the kitchen curtains on fire when I was in my teens trying to fry chicken. I thought putting water in the pan with flames would help...yeah it didn't. Ha! 2. Setting my oven on fire when a magnetic chip clip got stuck to the bottom of my cookie sheet. 3. And last but not least when I set my stove on fire trying to fry chicken...again! I have vowed to stay away from frying chicken and buying it from now on. Ha ha!

Baked Kale Chips
These are really good but you have to be careful and really watch them they can be fine one minute and be burnt the next. But great recipe, yummy and a healthy alternative to chips if you have that craving.

Corn Tortilla Chips
So easy and they came out great! My husband was eating each batch as I took them out. Will definitely be doing these again!

Baked Tortilla Chips
These are definitely a healthier alternative to the traditional tortilla chip. They are very dry and you need to put more seasoning to get the flavor. And they can burn pretty quickly if you don't watch them. My husband said they are okay....which means don't make these again
