Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
I didn't even bother with the frosting and it was terrific!! Chewy, Rich, and totally chocolatey without even needing to add those baking chocolate bars! I will make this again and again; once is not enough! :) But beware, the brownie doesn't really look done when it actually does; so don't increase the baking time, or they'll be hard and tough. Also, mix them by hand; you don't want the mixer to make the egg fluffy: that's what makes brownies different from cakes!

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
i might have done something wrong because the dough was more like a batter even when left in the fridge for over a day. and they flattened badly in the oven. and it was a bit too sweet... but with the ingredients listed, i think they made up fairly nice cookies

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
Thanks to the other reviewers, the cheesecake came out perfect after I left it sit for a couple of hours in the oven, no cracking at all. Everyone loved it! Did a few changes though, since we ran out of sour cream, I used yogurt instead. Not much of a difference,I guess.

Blitz Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
It was a mess, as the recipe owner stated. and still a mess after rolling it for a couple of times using the help of a parchment paper; the parts keep falling off and I don't know why. maybe I did something wrong? or is it because I halved the recipe? so I had to roll it for a couple of times until it looked like what a puff pastry dough should be. didn't puff so high but that was still alright. still,it's really time-consuming and not quite worth the effort. i might make it again when im more skilled or whatever.

Pinwheel Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
did as other reviewers advised, i refrigerated it before rolling cause the dough was too sticky when first mixed. then take it out and let it sit for a while before rolling it and adding the filling. then throw it in the fridge again for an hour for so. still hard to cut but was pretty fine. as it turned out, the cookies looked really pretty when done!! and tasted nice, too! but if your dates were as sweet as mine, i suggest cutting off some sugar. its overly sweet.
