Creamy Italian Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
I make this recipe often and my family loves it! I mostly serve it with noodles, but it's great over rice, too! Pretty rich, but fabulous! It's good even without the mushroom pieces as well.

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
Yum! I was a little worried because I had never made stuffed shells before, but this recipe was great! It fed three of us twice with enough leftovers to send to work with my husband for his lunch today! This will definitely become a regular in our house! The only change was that I didn't add the mushrooms; no reason, I just didn't want them (and yes, I like them lol) and I followed a suggestion to cover them with foil until the last 10 minutes. Then I added the rest of the cheese and broiled it until brown. Next time I will add more sauce, but that's the only change I'd make. Thanks for a keeper!

Spring Cleaning Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
Love these! I'm starting to think I'm eating more dough than cookies, but they're delicious either way! I've been using my small pampered chef cookie scoop and so far have gotten five dozen and have only used about 2/3 of the dough. Lucky for me, cuz these aren't going to last long at my house! Thanks for a keeper!

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2012
This is a fabulous recipe and my family loves it. However, everything that goes in the slow cooker (except for the garlic) is a recipe from the Fix It and Forget It cookbook. Can't really claim this one as your own. I think adding garlic is a great idea and I'll try that next time I make it.

Carolina Style Low Carb Barbecue Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2012
This recipe was fantastic! I followed it exactly until after it was made (so the stars come from the original recipe). It was almost too spicy for me, but I loved the flavor...until the bite! I added a little more sugar and some molasses to try to cut the spice. Didn't help a whole lot, but it was still great! My husband loved it and my son said a little less spicy and it would be perfect. I plan on keeping a batch on hand at all times!

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Made these today for a family Easter dinner and they were a huge hit! My hubby wanted to make BIG burgers, so we ended up adding a little more of everything and they tasted wonderfully! The only change was I used mozzarella instead of cheddar because that's what I had. Also, instead of wrapping only the outer side of the patties, I wrapped the bacon around the whole patty, which worked great! They were juicy and very tasty! Will be making these again!

Healthier Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2012
Delicious! I can't rate it 5 stars because I changed it slightly, but we loved it and I will be making it again! I used a little more olive oil and dried herbs, but that's all the changes I made. Thanks for a great recipe!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
I probably shouldn't give this 5 stars, because I won't ever make it as is (I don't like tomatoes), so I have to rate it as I made it. Instead of tomatoes, I used mushrooms, which with the cream sauce, turned out more like cream of mushroom soup. It was DELICIOUS!! My husband said he thought he'd like it better with mushrooms than tomatoes. The chicken was tender and juicy and we loved it! I forgot to do step 3 (next time, I'm sure it'll add even more dimension to an already excellent recipe)! And instead of fettuccine, I served it over the broken spaghetti risotto recipe from this site. This one's a keeper, for sure!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
Made this last night and we all enjoyed it. However, I am not a huge fan of chunky salsa, but that was all I had. Next time, I am going to try making it with taco sauce instead. I did add a dash of cumin, salt and pepper. Oh, and I made 12 medium (soft taco) enchiladas. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Super-Easy Stir-Fry Article - Allrecipes.com

Reviewed: May 3, 2012
Stir-fry used to intimidate me, but no longer! Following the directions in this article will result in a perfectly cooked dinner you can be proud of! Both times I've made this, I used country style pork ribs. The pork was tender and juicy. I also did the sweet & sour sauce both times; however, the first time I didn't use any ginger and the second, I just sprinkled ground ginger over the veggies. It was delicious both times! Whenever I'm in the mood for stir fry, this is my go-to recipe! My husband and son love it, too!

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
I made this cake yesterday and thought the flavor was outstanding. I followed the recipe directions exactly and, like some other reviewers, the cake turned out very crumbly. It wasn't dry, though, just crumbly. I think the next time I make it, I will use oil instead of some or all of the water. Very good, but not quite 5 stars as is.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
My family really liked this salad! It sure makes a lot, which is great, because we like leftovers, too! I would have given it 5 stars, but I didn't add the onion, celery, pepper, carrot or pimentos. I also followed a suggestion from another reviewer to chill the macaroni and dressing separately and add them together before serving. It worked perfectly! Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2011
I can't give this a true rating because I didn't have all of the ingredients, so my rating is for tonight's soup. I only used one can of the diced tomatoes with chilies. I used creamed corn instead of whole kernel (but that was fine), a large (15 oz) can of tomato sauce, and I made the Taco Seasoning that you suggested. While the soup was cooking, I was pretty convinced that I wasn't going to be happy with the results. When I tasted it, it seemed way too spicy. In an effort to cut the spice, I added some homemade chicken stock and about 1/2 cup of sour cream. However, once on the table, with saltines and shredded cheddar, the soup was perfect! Even my picky, very UN-spice-loving son raved about it! I will be making this again!

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
We love this recipe! My 11-year-old son has been begging me to let him help cook and I thought this was the perfect way to introduce him to baking. We made them last night. My husband asked for me to make another (double) batch! I reduced the nutmeg to 1/2 tsp and it was too much when they were fresh, but today, they're perfect...and they really do taste like donut holes!

Baked Ziti II

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
I made this dish last night and it was a huge hit with my husband and son! I read the reviews and ended up making a few changes. I added cubed cooked chicken, used 15 oz of ricotta, two eggs and since I only had a 24 oz jar of spaghetti sauce, I added a 8 oz can of tomato sauce. Plus, I always add extra spice to spaghetti sauce, so I put in some garlic & onion powder, salt & pepper, and italian seasoning. I forgot to time the rotini pasta, so it wasn't all the way al dente and I didn't rinse it. Because I mixed everything together (except the cheese, which I put half pasta, half cheese and repeated the layers), I was a little worried that there might not be enough sauce and I might have some crispy pasta on top. However, I had nothing to worry about; it turned out absolutely perfect! It wasn't a 'pretty' dish, but very filling and tasted great! We will probably use sausage and mushrooms next time instead of chicken. The possibilities are endless! Thanks for a great recipe!

Apple Orchard Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2012
My mother-in-law has made this for the last two years at the holidays and we love it! I made it for the first time myself recently. I cannot find frozen cranberry juice anywhere, so I had to use another flavor. I chose White Grape with Raspberry (my MIL uses mixed berry). I also neglected to read that it only calls for 1 1/2 liters of ginger ale and I used the whole 2 liter. It's fantastic! I'm making it next week for my son's Scout Christmas party! Yum!

Quick Garlic Breadsticks

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2012
I've been making this for years. I use hamburger buns or sandwich bread, too, whichever is handy. I also use parsley instead of basil. It's such a great idea, fast, and helps use up bread that would otherwise go bad. Thanks for submitting!

Snow Cone Syrup II

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
Love this recipe, but it is way too sweet! Next time I'll cut down on the sugar and make sure it's cold before I try to pour it over ice! Definitely a keeper - now I just have to find a pourable storage solution!
