Spinach Alfredo Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
Great recipe using stuff you probably have in the pantry - we used frozen spinach & added zucchini instead of mushrooms, mexican shredded cheese blend, corn instead of flour tortillas, and added more garlic and cilantro - thanks for the recipe!

Oatmeal and Wheat Flour Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
Love this! Thanks so much for the recipe! I never would have thought the oats would work in pancakes...and this is such a healthy recipe! I doubled the blueberries, used all whole wheat flour, and added a bit of vanilla - just personal pref changes. I wouldn't think you need to double the sugar as other reviewers suggested - this was perfect! My 15 year-old health nut vegetarian daughter gave these her seal of approval! thanks-

Lasagna Alfredo Roll Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
Very good - we used the "Quick & Easy Alfredo Sauce" recipe from this site - added onion & garlic w/ the spinach & subbed cottage cheese for the ricotta. Still very rich & messy!

Chef John's Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
Thanks for the recipe! We don't buy shortening - we used stick margarine. Rolled out by hand & cooked on cast iron skillet. These really were fabulous! Saved me a trip to the store and far superior to store-bought!

Chex® PB and Chocolate Blast

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2012
Please don't listen to JoeRik and just melt the peanut butter out of the jar instead of using peanut butter chips - it made this mix a big mess! I should have followed it as written instead of using that suggestion.

Very good - I also added garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and replaced the corn starch with a bit of cream cheese.

only used @ 1T of flour, and used garlic powder instead of mustard powder. Thanks for the great recipe!

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
Wow! Fantastic recipe...tweaked it a bit (I'd never use bottled salad dressing for anything). Used the Marinade for Chicken recipe by Jillypooh from this site - but added garlic, ofcourse. And I used goat cheese instead of cream cheese. And wrapped it with as much bacon as I could...you've gotta try it!!

Honey Nut Granola

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Awesome as written - but...we used 3/4 cup honey and added about 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter. No trouble with it sticking to the pan - it came out perfect. We stirred it about every 8-10 minutes and baked at 275 F for about 30 minutes total. We made two batches and just used almonds, peanuts, and walnuts in one - and to the second batch we added coconut with all of the nuts and stirred in banana chips and craisins when it was just about done. Awesome! We probably spent $50 to buy all of the ingredients...but we bought big bags of nuts so we'll have plenty on hand. Awesome with vanilla yogurt and ripe peaches!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Followed the recipe as written...except I used some suggestions from others and melted 2 Hershey's chocolate bars and spread on the bottom and then added a layer of sliced almonds before adding the strawberries and the glaze. Thanks for the recipe!

Great way to use leftover ham! I added a couple of slices of lemon after covering it - a keeper! Thanks for the recipe.

Beth's Scalloped Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2002
Excellent! I prepared this almost to the letter - except I mixed the melted butter and flour together before adding milk (I added more than a cup of milk) and I just added several slices of American cheese bc that's all I had in the house. It came out great - no leftovers. A great recipe - especially because you can make it with pantry staples. Thanks!
