Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this recipe even though I failed to shell the scrimp. I reduced the butter to 1/2 cup and added a splash of wine. Next time I plan to use 1 cup of butter and double the other sauce ingredients. It is really delicious.

German Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
Could not find red cabbage in a jar, so decided to search for a recipe. Decided on this one and so glad that I did. Served this to a group of friends and everyone raved about the dish. I cooked in the crock pot for about 5 hours which is also a great make ahead way to do it. My husband is trying to think of times when I can make it again.

I made this for an open house and everyone raved about them. Best part, they are sooo easy to make. Depending on size of chestnuts, I cut bacon in thirds, Also lined the bacon pan with foil to make clean up easier.

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
Made this for a friend's birthday and had to divide up remainder so others could take some home. Didn't sift the cake mix, but may try that next time. I honestly don't think it needs any changes as good the way it is. I am going to try using coconut rum next time just to see if it makes any difference. Yummy recipe

Made for St. Patrick's Dinner and everyone commented on how good it is. I would like a little more Irish Cream flavor. I tinted some Cool Whip green and served cake with the CW.
