Manicotti Shells

I'll never use store bought manicotti shells again! Very easy to make. I've only used this for chicken and spinach manacotti can't wait to try cheese filled or even as a dessert shell.

It appeared and tasted like a coffee cake. The almond extract gave it a nice flavor. Next time I make it I will take the advice of Jean and serve with ice cream or cut down on the cranberries or add more sugar as it was somewhat tart.

Bou's Chicken

This is a kid friendly recipe. All the children I've served it to really seemed to like it. My husband who is not big on any type of barbecue suace really enjoys this. Makes plenty of gravy for the mashed potatoes. Thanks for the recipe Marsha!

Coq au Vin alla Italiana

Tasty dish. Not something I would serve often because of fat content. I will make again when having company as it serves quite a bit. Was a bit greasy. Next time I will remove skin from chicken. Thanks for recipe Richard!

Easier Chicken Marsala

Great recipe. Followed recipe first time I made it. I prefer a thicker sauce so I added a 1/2 cup of chicken broth and made a slurry of cornstach and water to thicken. I also pound out the chicken breast and have also used pork cutlets. This is much lower in fat than the recipe I was using for chicken marsala. Thanks for great recipe!

Carrot Cake III

WOW! I receive rave reviews every time I bake this! I've had friends tell me this is the best carrot cake they've ever eaten. I bake in 2 9" round pans and after frosting finely chop pecans and place around sides of the cake. Makes for an impressive presentation.

Jewish Apple Cake II

My husband loves this cake! I added more apples the second time I made it also mixed 2 tbsp. of brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts with the apples. Moist and delish! Thanks for the recipe!

Chili con Carne II

I served this chili over elbow macaroni and shredded cheddar cheese on top. Kids love this recipe, perhaps it's the sweet mellow taste. I also added 3/4 of a cup of brewed coffee. I added hot sauce for myself and husband's portion. Thanks for recipe!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Husband doesn't like meatballs but really enjoyed these. Served them over rice. I did add a little more seasoning salt to the meatballs. Made these early in the day and took to a pot luck. Kept them warm in a crock pot minus the lid so they wouldn't get mushy. I too took the advice of others and doubled the sauce. Yum! Thanks Lana for the recipe!
