Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
I made this dip for Thanksgiving. Response from my not-so-receptive family..."What is that?" I'm not sure what to do with all the leftovers (makes a ton) since it was barely touched. I thought it was ok (a little too much pumpkin for my taste). Needless to say, it won't become part of our holiday tradition!

Dried Beef Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
This recipe is always a hit with my family and friends. I make it without the MSG and onion salt. I always double this recipe, because it's never enough, use 2 green onions, 1 1/2 Tblsp. Worchesteshire sauce and the "family size" pack of dried beef. Reserve a little of the beef to roll the ball in...it makes a pretty presentation. Great with wheat crackers!

Cheesy Ham and Asparagus Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2002
I made this for my in-laws last weekend and they both seemed to really enjoy it. My husband did too! I think I will omit the red bell pepper next time I make it because I thought it overpowered the other ingredients too much. I LOVE that it can be fixed a day ahead. It made 11:00 brunch with the in-laws in a busy household a lot easier!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
What a great cake! Super easy to make, even for those of us who are non-bakers. I made it for a dinner party last weekend and it was a big hit! The name says it all! Thanks!

Cajun Crab Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2002
WOW!!! This recipe is fantastic! I used my hand blender and pureed 1/2 the amount which made for just the right combination of chunky and smooth. The leftovers were even better after all the flavors made really blended together. Not too "fishy" at all for those of you like my husband who are scared away by that thought. Thanks!

Breakfast Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
I made this Christmas Eve and baked it Christmas morning. The result was not good. The top half baked fine, but the bottom was pure soup! Too many eggs perhaps?

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
My husband did not exactly "die for" this recipes on New year's Eve. Aside from too much salt I thought the recipe was ok, but it took a lot of work to prepare. Don't tackle this one unless you've got a lot of time to spare in the kitchen.

Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
This is a great and easy recipe. Sets up much better than other peanut butter pie recipes I've tried which turn out way too soupy.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This recipe is great! I used 3 oz. of cream cheese and 1 cup of sour cream, as suggested by others, as well as some mushrooms. It was fabulous! And fabulously easy!

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
I modified the recipe slightly by using a pork-flavored box stuffing as suggested by another reviewer. I also added a little more more chicken broth to the stuffing mixture for more moisture and used cream of celery soup instead of mushroom. The last modification I made was to cut pockets into the chops and actually stuff them! Leftover stuffing went on top as suggested. It was wonderful! Even my in-laws thought so! Thanks!

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
This mac & cheese is truly to die for! I did not change a single thing about this recipe. Follow it to the letter and you will not be disappointed. The addition of the processed cheese made this creamier than any other mac & cheese recipe I've tried which always seem to turm out gritty!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

This is a great recipe. I pretty much followed it exactly and it turned out terrific. We had the leftovers the next day for lunch, and it reheated very well.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2003
This is a great, easy recipe! I used all the ingredients called for, but I did make one slight adjustment. I cooked this for about 7 hours on low instead of high for 4 hours. Turned out wonderful!

Cindy's Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Just made this and followed the recipe exactly, but I did use fresh cilantro, which I love. My only complaint is it turned out way too salty. I was hesitant when I added the two teaspoons called for but did it anyway. I did brine my turkey before roasting, so the salt amount probably should have been reduced. Be cautious of the salt if using leftover brined turkey.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
I sauted fresh onion, celery and green pepper with the mushrooms. I used 6 oz of whole wheat noodles. Turned out very yummy. Even my picky 4 year old son and husband who claims he doesn't like "soupy" dishes loved it.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Made this last night for a card party and it was a huge hit. Made in 9x13 pan. Brushed bottom crust with egg white and baked 6 min at 425. Cooked chicken and veggies in chicken broth with 1 tsp of poultry seasoning and used that cooking liquid to make sauce. Added about 1tsp of garlic powder to sauce. Filled and brushed top crust with egg white. Baked 45 min at 375. Perfect!

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Fabulous! Only change I made was only used 1/2 tsp of italian seasoning which was perfect amount not to take away from the other flavors of the bread. Used good old Budweiser and everyone loved it.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
Wow! So good. Used 2tsp of Old Bay plus a sprinkle on top of cheese before baking. Made for a great light dinner with a salad and a chardonnay. And to the last reviewer who said this was runny...let it sit for a couple minutes before eating and it is perfect.
