Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
I thought this was ok. I cooked the orzo in broth and added about a half tub of Philly cooking cream garlic and herb, which helped boost the flavor.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
My new favorite way to make stuffed pepperes. I didnt have any green onions so I used red. I also subbed a can of Italian style diced tomatoes, which added a lot of flavor, and threw in a couple of handfuls of spinach. If you like feta, this recipe is for you.

Mexican Corn Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Unlike other reviewers I did not find this recipe to come out soggy at all. It came out very dense for me. However I did find it to be very bland. It seems to be missing something in the flavor department. Sugar maybe. I cant seem to put my finger on it

Strawberry Blue Cheese Salad

Yum. Yum. Yum. Made this today and it is fabulous! Used baby spinach instead of mixed greens and for the nuts I used the sugar coated pecans recipe on this site. Used a bottled light raspberry walnut vinagrette dressing. Wonderful!

Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I usually double the "stuff" that goes on this salad b/c I like a lot of stuff on my lettuce. The dressing is great. Well worth buying walnut oil if you don't already have it. I use the Sugar Coated Pecans recipe from this site for the nuts.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

I like this casserole because it only calls for 4 eggs. I can never seem to get the more egg recipes to cook all the way through. This one comes out perfect every time.

Sugar Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
These are amazing. I give these for Christmas to co-workers and everyone always wants the recipe. I use 1/2 cp white sugar and 1/2 cp light brown sugar. I sub pure vanilla extract for the water and use 1tsp of cinnamon. I also bake 15 min longer than the recipe suggests and find it gives them a little extra crunch.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I get a request for this for every family gathering. The only things i do different than the recipe is use the whole packet of ranch seasoning rather than just 3 tblsps, and i use halved grape tomatoes instead of a large chopped one.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
This one deserves 10 stars! Make sure you pour the egg mixture into the 2 deep dish pie crusts VERY SLOWLY. There is so much wonderfulness going on that it is easy to overflow your shells. I find it helpful to take a fork and push the filling around a bit as you pour so the eggs soak all the way down. Freezes great...tastes like you made it fresh that day.

Spicy Maryland Crab Dip

Wow! So good. Used 2tsp of Old Bay plus a sprinkle on top of cheese before baking. Made for a great light dinner with a salad and a chardonnay. And to the last reviewer who said this was runny...leave it sit for a couple minutes before eating and it is perfect.

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Fabulous! Only change I made was only used 1/2 tsp of italian seasoning which was perfect amount not to take away from the other flavors of the bread. Used good old Budweiser and everyone loved it.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Made this last night for a card party and it was a huge hit. Made in 9x13 pan. Brushed bottom crust with egg white and baked 6 min at 425. Cooked chicken and veggies in chicken broth with 1 tsp of poultry seasoning and used that cooking liquid to make sauce. Added about 1tsp of garlic powder to sauce. Filled and brushed top crust with egg white. Baked 45 min at 375. Perfect!

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

I sauted fresh onion, celery and green pepper with the mushrooms. I used 6 oz of whole wheat noodles. Turned out very yummy. Even my picky 4 year old son and husband who claims he doesn't like "soupy" dishes loved it.

Cindy's Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Just made this and followed the recipe exactly, but I did use fresh cilantro, which I love. My only complaint is it turned out way too salty. I was hesitant when I added the two teaspoons called for but did it anyway. I did brine my turkey before roasting, so the salt amount probably should have been reduced. Be cautious of the salt if using leftover brined turkey.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
This mac & cheese is truly to die for! I did not change a single thing about this recipe. Follow it to the letter and you will not be disappointed. The addition of the processed cheese made this creamier than any other mac & cheese recipe I've tried which always seem to turm out gritty!
