Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This was a really simple recipe. I used a hash brown blend that had onions and peppers in it. The only thing I might do different next time is lightly salt and pepper the hash browns before I spread them in the pan.

These are like crack in a pan! they wrap up nice for a perfect thank you/just cause gift for friends and neighbors! We don't like nuts so we skip them. Real butter instead of margarine. Soooooo good!

Harvest Corn Chicken Chowder

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
Very good recipe- I used chicken broth instead of bouillon and water- added carrots instead of red bell pepper and tossed in chopped broccoli with the potatoes. Love the use of evaporated milk! This is a great recipe for the end of the week to use up some leftover over produce- especially on a cold and windy day! Thanks!

Athenian-Style Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
This recipe is very bland. I added a good helping of kosher salt. I like the idea, but I think the chicken does need to marinate...I would consider making a oil and vinegar based marinade with red pepper flakes and then using the yogurt mix with the addition of dill as a dipping sauce. I think the vinegar would also give it the zing it needs.

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2007
I made these two days ago.. I followed the recipe exactly and then added a handful of chocolate chips...Yummy! Tonight I used this same recipe but instead of bananas I chopped up four small apples and sauteed them in the butter until they were soft. For the wet ingredients I had this apple and butter mix, 1 single serving container of applesauce, cinnamon, and vanilla mixed with the egg and sugar. Everything else was the same. So good! Would be good witha streusel topping too!

Best Korean Bulgogi

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2004
This was ok. My husband is Korean and he was not pleased withthis one at all. Of course he is a little biased saying his mom's bulgogi couldn't be beat! Don't know if we'll be having this one again.

Lentils with Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2004
I absolutely loved this recipe. Will try again using canned tomatoes. It is a little time consuming using fresh tomatoes since you have to boil then ice then peel them. But very tasty none the less.

Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2002
I was concerned about there being no wet ingredients in the flavor mix. No need for concern. The spices blended so well together and created a great taste. We ate them on dark wheat hoagies with swiss cheese. YUM!

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2002
This was my first pot pie venture. My husband loved it. Although, we both thought there were too many potatoes. Next time I will just use one large potato and more veggies. I used a store bought crust, one on top and one on bottom. Turned out beautifully.
