Bread Machine Challah I

I was a little doubtful about this recipe.. but it was yummy! Because my yeast is almost a year expired and doesn't work as well, I used a tablespoon vs 1/2 teaspoons. If you have a problem with your bread rising, use a tablespoon. It was slightly sweet but not overly, with a soft and crumbly crust but the inside was not dense nor crumbly. It cut really well and is a pretty yellow-tinged bread. Very good recipe :) And if it's not totally obvious, MELT the margarine before adding it.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

There's not a lot of sauce for the lasanga.. I was worried about it being dry. But surprisingly, this wasn't an issue. The lasagna was delicious. Edit: I forgot to mention... I used homemade chicken stock instead of the broth, homemade pasta sauce (basically tomato sauce + seasonings), unmarinated artichoke hearts and plain feta. It was literally PERFECT.

Chicken Stock

I edited this recipe due to allergies and preference. It was also my first time making chicken stock as I've been vegetarian for 7 years. The only real complaint I have is that the water amounts were inaccurate. I was prepared for this because I read some of the reviews. However, for 9 servings, by the end of 4 hours, I had used 15 cups of water when it only called for 4 1/2 cups of water and the recipe yielded 4 cups of stock.

Peasant Bread

I have made this 5 or 6 times in the last 2 weeks. It is DELICIOUS. Crunchy crust, soft and flavorful and solid on the inside. Perfect, perfect, perfect.

Best Bread Machine Bread

So... I thought this recipe was disgusting. Mind you, my ingredients were sparse so I've been making the peasant bread recipe on allrecipes and loved it - but when I got oil, I wanted to try another recipe and tried this one. The flavor was very 'blah'. The texture was okay and it rose well enough. However, the bread also fell apart the moment I cut it. The peasant bread didn't do that. This recipe was just...a letdown, all around.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Hmm... I followed the recipe exactly. My 2 1/2 year old son, who is a picky eater, ate 1 1/4 of these, which surprised me! However, I'm afraid I didn't like them quite as much. I'm not sure why? I've simply had better pancakes..Maybe I did something wrong, though. Thanks so posting!!!

Grilled Vegetables in Balsamic Tomato Sauce with Couscous

I only used the zuchinni for vegetables in this and used lima beans instead of broad beans. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this dish. BRAVO!

Zucchini Risotto

Unsloppy Joes

I'm a really picky eater and didn't like this. But I'm also able to see what most people WOULD like and the other people who ate with me weren't picky eaters. To them, this was a decent recipe but nothing really special. They mentioned that they'd omitt the carrots. I probably won't be making this again.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

I love this recipe. I add more chili powder and ignore the cumin, though. Also have added slivered almonds with good results. And cheddar, mmm. I like to make these in bulk and freeze the excess for quick future meals.

Quick Gnocchi

This recipe was delicious! I made it with tomato sauce. However, I did have to use about 2/4 cup extra flour. But very yummy and will definitely be trying it again!
