About this Cook
I am a mother to 5 beautiful amazing children!!! I also have 4 stepkids and a grandson:) I love to cook, still trying to get help with the dishes though lol
My favorite things to cook
hot dishes, crock pot meals and stews/ soups. I also love to bake, my favorite recipes often are a combination of two or more recipes that I take the best of and combine together... I did that to create my dutch apple pie! I just enjoy family time, that is why I started cooking in the first place, my best memories as a child are sitting around the table at my Oma's (German grandma) and enjoying a big home cooked dinner with the family. With board games and puzzles and pie or homemade applesauce after the meal!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Oma makes these bacon buns that are to die for and homemade rye bread with honey!!! I love baking Christmas cookies with my kids!
My cooking triumphs
My Oma always told me to take out all the ingredients that are in the recipe and put them away as you use them... that way nothing gets left out!
My cooking tragedies
The day I forgot to put baking powder in my oatmeal butterscotch cookies... they were only good if you put them over icecream, they didn't plump up and stuck to the baking sheet.

Hawaiian Chicken I
I made a few changes too... I cut soy sauce in half and left out butter and worcesteshire, and added garlic. I grilled chicken and pineapple it turned out great over a bed of rice!!!
