Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
I made this last night minus the shortening(I didn't have any) and used all butter. This was SO easy and the flavor was incredible!! I flavored mine with a little bit of Mrs. Butterworths to make breakfast cupcakes(pancake cupcakes) and put some fruit on top. This icing is my favorite, I will never use anything else! Thanks Rick!!

Gourmet Pretzel Rods

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
I made these last year and they are impossible to mess up. The easiest Christmas dessert in the world. We dip ours in chocolate first then roll in nuts or candy and drizzle with homemade caramel.(Homemade caramel is also super easy, basically it's just melted sugar and a little butter and cream or milk..) Anyway, no tips or tricks it is really fun and simple and really impresses people when you show up with them!!

Cranberry Orange Relish with Orange Flavored Liqueur

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
made it yesterday and tried it today, a pre-thanksgiving test, and LOVED IT!! Can't wait for thanksgiving to have everyone try this great recipe. The orange you use makes all the difference. If it is sour the recipe will taste sour. Try your orange first. Wholefoods has a huge variety of fruit to choose from. Also made some into vinaigrette as one member suggested and used it on spinach salad with craisins and toasted almonds, IT"S AWESOME!!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
No offense to Rick. The Newmans Own is good BUT...The BEST part of Jamie's recipe is the dressing!! It IS easy to make and it is INCREDIBLE! Don't skip this dressing... It is SOOOOOOO good. Be sure to toast those sesame seeds...

The Best Meatloaf I've Ever Made

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
This was so good!! It was easy and the best meatloaf Iv'e ever tried. The first time I made it I tried to cut it too soon to serve it and it hadn't firmed up enough and I mangled it. So be patient and let it rest when it comes out of the oven. I just couldn't wait but it gets better with time. The day after it tastes even more wonderful... hot or cold it's incredible so give it a try!

Crazy Dipped Pretzel Rods

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Super easy and really delicious! Lighter chocalates work best. I used milk chocolate and dark chocolate and really dark dark chocolate. The superdark chocolate ones were not as good and I LOVE dark chocolate. But for some reason the dark dark chocolate and the pretzels, for me, didn't compliment each other the way lighter chocolate compliments pretztels. Nevertheless they were fun, good and they all dissappeared FAST!!

Incredible dressing! Don't buy dressing, make this it is so easy and soooooo delicious. Like the other reviews say don't use butter, just toast the almonds and sesame seeds and sub the craisins for the cranberries. This salad is GGGGGRRRREAAT!!

Best Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
Very easy if you follow directions, don't worry about making "a ball". Just make sure the flour and milk get thick.. I whisked it the whole time and cooked it on a really low heat. I used granulated sugar and beat it for about 15-20 minutes off and on. I would do it during commercial breaks while I watched t.v.. It tastes so good!! I use either vanilla extract for the flavor or Mrs. Butterworths Original flavor pancake syrup. It's REALLY good!! Don't be afraid to try it.
