Szechwan Beef Burgers with Sweet and Hot Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
This was so simple to make and so good! I do think that it would be better with chicken (the sauce reminded me of general chicken). I didn't tweak it much at all, but I had to use cherry jam instead of the plum. I couldn't find plum anywhere. I did not care for the peanut butter flavor, so that will be omitted next time too.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
My family loved this recipe idea. I made the changes the other reviewers suggested. I cut the ketchup down to 1/2 cup, cut the sugar down to 1/2 cup. I also added in half the pineapple juice and tossed in Worcestershire sauce and vinegar. I didn't measure these, just tasted as I went. I tossed in a whole can of pineapple chunks and two big bags of mixed stir fry veggies. Everyone ate huge servings of this over rice, very tasty and different! The all said this was a keeper which made me happy cause it's so simple to make! Thanks for sharing!

Drop Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
I really like this recipe. The cookies are melt in your mouth good, light, airy and moist. The only thing is, I maybe got 2 dozen cookies after I doubled the recipe. I also upped the sugar a bit and added 2 more teaspoons of vanilla. This is a keeper.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
This is the best yet! The cookies were gone in a matter of seconds. They did turn into hockey pucks the next day, but a few seconds in the microwave and they were fine!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
This was pretty good, but WAY to sweet. I even cut the sugar down to 1/4 cup. I didn't have dill relish, but I added some lemon juice to give it a bit of a kick. I will make again, but without any sugar at all. Really, I'm not sure why it's even in the recipe

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
This one is great! I made it last night, just for something different, and my kids ate everything on their plate! And they are picky picky eaters! I did change a few things, used a can of beef broth, added 1/2 can of water, doubled the rub on the pork, also the juice makes AWESOME gravy! My hubby even ate the leftovers last night, which he rarely does.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
This turned out okay, it wasn't the greatest though. I cut the sugar by a cup and added alot more spice. Even so, it didn't have much of that pumpkiny flavor that I love. Will continue to look for one.

Banana Bread VII

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2005
I love the basic part of this recipe. I did end up adding about double the banana, because the way this is, it seemed too cake like and not very banana tasting. I like my bread to be heavy and dark, and this was light. Otherwise an excellent base to many breads! Thank you for sharing!

Basic Truffles

These are so simple to make, although very messy! I topped some with chopped andy's candies and they were very good. I also topped some with pecans and some with walnuts. These were a great hit! Thanks!

Jiffy Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2003
It was okay, took a while to prepare and made a few extra dirty dishes. It was like the hamburger helper in taste. I won't be making it again. We didn't even eat the leftovers.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2003
The ham was very good! It didn't soak into the ham like I had thought it would, but it was very tasty. A great addition to my Christmas Tradition. I will be using it again this year!
