Hash Brown and Egg Casserole

I followed others advice and decreased the eggs to 3 and the milk to 1/4 cup. I also halved the amount of hash browns to 2 cups. I threw on some real bacon bits and red and yellow peppers for color. Also using others suggestion, I pre-baked the hash browns for 15 minutes. It turned out great using the directions on bake time and pan size after the changes were made. Thanks for sharing!

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

I've used this recipe for two years now - it is fabulous! The only things I changed were cooking it in a turkey bag and preparing the spices a little differently. I mix them in a softened whole stick of butter, smear it all in a small plastic bag, roll it up, then refrigerate (a la Sandra Lee). Once firm, I slice it and put the pats under the skin and in the cavity of the bird. My turkeys were always, always dry before I found this recipe; now they get rave reviews. It's a keeper!

Ye Ole Gingerbread

After reading the other reviews, I decided to search for golden syrup so I could use the ingredients called for in the original recipe. I called a few gourmet and "world market-type" food stores and found it quite easily. Lyle's Golden Syrup is a popular brand most all of them carried and not terribly expensive, either. This gingerbread was absolutely delicious. It smells wonderful while baking and produces a thick, moist loaf. The only change I made was to increase the ginger to 2 Tablespoons. I believe I will be using this recipe from now on. Try it and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

I have been baking pies using this recipe for years, and the requests keep coming in for me to make more and more. My brother alone gets two - one to share with the family and one just for himself *grin* This year alone I made 10 pies, and plan on making 5 more for Christmas. Definitely a big hit, and I would recommend this recipe to anyone!
