Being a wife to a southern food loving man and a Mom to 2 boys, I am definitely interested in cooking and expanding my types of dishes. I want to improve my skills and be able to improve dinner with lots of variety.

Italian foods, chili, roasts, stews, mexican, lots of stuff really.

Italian...my Dad has the best homemade pasta sauce EVER!
My cooking triumphs
I can make a mean lasagna. I love taco soup and have learned to cook with venison, too.
My cooking tragedies
some kind of chicken pasta casserole..needless to say the dogs ate like kings for 2 days. haha

Stuffed Green Peppers I
I loved it& so did my husband. He's from the south and never had anything like that before and had never even heard of it before. I added a bit more rice and I used a quart jar of tomatoes I'd canned from last year. I also put more onion than called for and used minced garlic and more Italian seasonings. The only other change was i used ground venison. It was excellent! My sister loved it also.

Scrumptious Salmon Cakes
I made this for lunch yesterday-killer! I loved it! So moist and so so good. My 3 year old had one and my husband (who doesn't even eat seafood ) liked it. I will always use this recipe. Amazing!

Shoyu Chicken
I made this one night at my house and everybody loved it. They said it was really good. We had kids over so I had to skip the red pepper. I loved it. Will definitely have again. I saved the marinade that I didn't need to cover the chicken and used it to baste
