Candied Almonds

Although I was disappointed that I had no white sugar, I used brown sugar. It tasted wonderful, and the whole house smelled of molasses! Great recipe!

Shrimp and Broccoli Fettuccine

A few problems I had with this: 1) the original recipe couldn't feed four people. 2) This took a while to clean up. The remaining sauce on the dishes was very sticky. 3) Lack of flavor. It has an OK taste on its own, but I would add some fresh basil, parsley and thyme. Overall OK, but lacked some flavor.

Asian Marinated Pork Chops

This had great flavor. Next time I will marinate it longer! Just a tip: Molasses mixed with white sugar makes a great sub for brown sugar. Thanks!

Honey-Ginger Grilled Salmon

This was the best salmon I have ever had. My girlfriend and I loved it! Definitely cook down the marinade to make a sauce. It added so much flavor! We grilled on a cedar plank because our grocers seafood guy suggested it. I would not change this recipe otherwise!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

The flavor of the seasonings (aside from the caraway seed) didn't really come through; however, we did use a very large head of cabbage, so that may have diluted the overall taste a bit. Don't make our mistake and use lean turkey bacon: it won't produce enough drippings and it's hard to crumble.

This was great! I substituted bamboo shoots instead of water chestnuts, but that was the only change. A dollop of sriracha adds another level of flavor as well. Great recipe; thank you!
