Pan Seared Salmon I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
Delicious and easy! I made it in regular frying pan, like other reviewers I put some olive oil in the pan instead of rubbing the salmon with oil. Instead of cooking with the capers, I put 1 table spoon of caper juice while cooking and garnished with the capers once I put the salmon on the plate. (capers will roll off the salmon and burn on the bottom of the pan).

Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
Easy and delicious! Used 2 packages of cream cheese, added 1/4 tea spoon vanilla extract to the cheese mixture (both suggested by other reviewers). It turned out great and everybody loved it!

Sandy's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
Made for my boyfriend's birthday. It was delicious and the cake was moist for 3 days until the two of us ate the entire cake! I will definitely make this cake again.

Turkey Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Great way of transforming leftover turkey to something delicious! I used biscuit instead of pastry and doubled the sauce. Also added leftover green bean casserole to the turkey mixture. It turned out great! I will definitely make this again.

Shrimp Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Great Recipe! I made a few changes. I used raw shrimp, made shrimp stock with the shrimp shells and used that instead of the water to soak couscous for extra flavor. Omitted yellow pepper since I didn't have any and exchanged with asparagus (what I found in my fridge). I also did not chill it. I served it warm right after preparing it. Turned out great!

Middle Eastern Pasta With Yogurt and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
This is a great recipe with few changes. It is also very authentic (my Jordanian boyfriend makes the same thing). Increase finely minced garlic to 4 cloves and season generously with salt and pepper. I cooked 1/2 medium onion chopped with meat. Instead of cooking the pine nuts with the meat, I use silvered almonds and fry them in the frying pan alone and sprinkle at the end (this will keep the nuts to be crunchy). I also like to garnish with copped parsley. With these changes, the past is amazing, flavorful and so creamy. (its hard to believe that it's all yogurt! no cream or butter!)

Too much bulgur. Not enough parsley. I doubled parsley.
