Sage Corn Bread Stuffing

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
I grew up with Mrs. Cubbison's, which I absolutely love. But this is in a whole other league. It was incredible. I prefer my own cornbread recipe, so that's what I used. I just cubed it after I cooked it. It was terrific!

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
This was pretty good and really did come out super moist. It just wasn't as pumpkin-y as I hoped. I guess I was hoping for that rich pumpkin flavor that is in those pumpkin muffins at Paradise Bakery, but no such luck. It was very good, though. Next time I will add more spices. Thanks! :)

Wild Rice Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
I didn't do this recipe as written, but this still came out really good. I just grabbed plain old smoked sausage at Wal-Mart because I didn't have time to go to the grocery store too. And I used white rice. I cooked the rice in a rice cooker just because I have one. Anyway, this still came out really good. My whole house smells like sausage. It was a little thick, though. I think I will add more milk next time. Overall, a very good recipe. I'd like to try it with the Italian sausage next time. Oh, I used colby/jack cheese because I don't like processed cheese and it was just fine. :) Thanks!

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
Holy stinkin' cow! These were so good! I did have to add more water, and next time I'll only let them sit about 15 minutes. The dough got a little crunchy on top from sitting so long, even with the dish towel. And it took more kneading than I thought, but these came out very yummy. I will definitely have to try again with the things I learned from my first try. I am afraid that I can't roll out a good circle to save my life, but who knows. Maybe I will someday. :) Thanks for the recipe!

Soy Garlic Steak

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
We didn't have the garlic specified, so we used garlic salt. And we didn't measure the ketchup. And by some strange force of nature these ended up marinating for about 24 hours or more. They came out a little more tangy than I expected, but, man, they were good! I would definitely use this recipe again. Thanks! :)

Chocolate Caramel Nut Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2005
We made this for my mother-in-law's birthday last year and it was pretty good. However, it was 10 times better the next day! It just wasn't nearly as good fresh out of the oven for some reason. But I was very pleased. I believe we also used peanuts instead of the other nuts. Very, very good recipe!

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2004
Not what I was looking for. It was kind of like a crepe, as someone else already said, and was pretty bland and flat. I did like the idea of putting oregano in the crust, though.

Banana Bread Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2003
Delicious! I made these without the frosting because my family doesn't really like frosting. They were very moist and just wonderful! I love the cake-like texture. An excellent use for that one left-over banana. Nice strong banana flavor.

Chocolate Wave Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
This recipe was great! I tried it without swirling the two batters, but I think it would be really neat that way. The chocolate chips made it even more wonderful!

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
I did not like this recipe at all! My husband couldn't even finish it! It reminded me of mushy Thanksgiving stuffing. But then, we're dry stuffing people. If you're a mushy stuffing lover you may like this too. I feel that the sweetness from the muffin mix didn't go with the onions.
