Polish Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
This coffee cake is moist and delicious. It tastes amazing fresh out of the oven or chilled, and even tastes good the next day. I cut the recipe down to 1/3 and baked it in a glass bread pan because I was only cooking breakfast for two and it worked out great. I will be making this for a crowd Christmas morning. Thank you for posting!

Murgh Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
My family loved this recipe. I prepared it a bit differently, but flexibility is another plus for this recipe. I boiled bone-in chicken thighs, shredded the meat and added it to the sauce which I prepared separately. This lets me set aside plain meat for my toddlers, but lets the adults still eat what they want. I sauteed the onion/ginger/garlic puree in oil for several minutes, then sauteed in the spices, then added the yogurt and the cream. I added the chicken and let everything sit over low heat, covered, for about 40 minutes to let the flavors of the sauce and chicken exchange. It was great. I was able to find tomato sauce without seasoning so I did use tomato sauce, otherwise I would have used tomato puree.

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2012
These were wonderful! After reading the reviews, I soaked the potatoes for 10 minutes, boiled them for 3-5 minutes, and rinsed them thoroughly until the water ran clear to remove the starch. If you don't remove the starch the hash browns will burn very quickly. They came out absolutely perfectly. Thank you so much for a great breakfast.

Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2011
Wow, I was so surprised how good this came out. I used in a Cajun Chicken and Fettuccine recipe and even the people who don't like Cajun food or spice loved it.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
This is a great recipe. Instead of using water, I used 1 1/4 cups dark beer - Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale and it made the pie incredibly hearty, almost like a steak and Guinness pie. Following the advice of other reviewers I added 1/4 cup of worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of flour and a brown gravy packet. I will make this many times over.

I followed the recipe exactly and loved it. These are by far the fluffiest pancakes I have ever made.
