Mom's Turkey Sausage Patties

Reviewed: May 11, 2014
I doubled the spices and added 1 tbsp maple syrup, and it was very good. It made quite a bit! I will make this again. The pepper adds nice flavor.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2014
It was very, very easy to make, but I think I would leave the honey off next time. I put it on before serving, after it had cooled, and maybe that was a mistake. I probably should have added it while it was still hot? but it made it too sweet and sticky. I will make it again.

Pear Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
The recipe was very easy, which was nice. I chose it because I had two pears that were getting overripe (really only needed 1 for the recipe). I ended up adding a glaze to make it taste better - it was a little bland on its own. My kids loved it after I added the glaze to make it sweeter. I will add ginger to the batter next time, as one reviewer suggested. and maybe some walnuts?

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
My favorite salad ever! I use gorgonzola, and it's perfect. I was a little intimidated by caramelizing the pecans since I'd never done that before, but it was pretty easy. the first time, I cooked them a bit too long, and few turned dark. The pears are delicious in the salad. They can be a bit under-ripe, and no one can tell. Next time I make it, I'll use romaine lettuce, not leafy lettuce, so it holds up a bit better. I have made it for parties, and by the end, the lettuce gets pretty limp.

Cannoli Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
This was really creamy and delicious. And super easy to make. I might add a little kahlua next time to add a different flavor. It makes a lot of dip, so plan to share it! I served it with strawberries and italian cookies that had a vanilla flavor.

Mom's Fabulous Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuit Crust

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
This was awesome! I'm not a fan of chicken pot pie,but my kids love it, so I found this recipe and made it. I love that it didn't call for canned cream of whatever soup. It was real ingredients and you could tell when you tasted it. I will make a bigger batch next time, since everyone wanted seconds.

Mountain Apple Cobbler - with less butter

Reviewed: May 6, 2013
This is an amazing recipe! every time I make it, my guests ask for the recipe. It's super easy and very good even the next day. I just warm it up in the microwave. I did cut back on the butter and sugar. I use 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup sugar, and it's still really good. With full amount, it was swimming in butter. Still really good, though!
