Creamy Spiced Coleslaw

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2014
Delish. I use a whole head of purple cabbage in place of the packaged slaw.

Chicken Paprikash

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
I thought this was very good. I used 4 boneless chicken breasts. The dumpling batter was really thick so I ended up using my dough hook on my mixer. I then rolled it out really thin and cut into small bites using a pizza cutter. Other than that I followed the recipe. I'd make it again. It has a mellow flavor so I might add more paprika next time.

Okay...I've made these 3 times in the last 2 weeks! Yum! I had trouble finding the buttermilk baking mix and finally found some at Trader Joe's.

Simple Spare Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I really liked this! I did not have onion powder so I added a minced onion to the broth mixture. When it was done I used the broth mixture as a base for gravy. Yum! Thanks!!

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
I really like this. I omited the lemon juice and added a bit more sour cream. I'd make this again. I used the leftovers the next day. I sauted some chicken then added the leftover soup and simmered it. Very good.

Hungarian Goulash I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2005
I really liked this recipe. After browning the meat, I put everything in a crock pot and cooked it for about 7 hours or so. I served it over egg noodles with a side of cottage cheese.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2004
Since my grandma was French Canadian I grew up eating these instead of the big stack of pancakes. To this day I do not like pancakes. These crepes taste just like grandma used to make. Light and crispy. The best way to eat them is to just sprinkle some sugar on them, roll em up, and eat! No need for the fruit, syrup, etc. Yum!!
