Bird Seed Energy Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
Very good! Dense and hearty bar for breakfast, a snack or energy on the go. I took another reviewer suggestion and used 1/2 c. oil and 1/2 c. applesauce. I also added coconut and raisins. Next time I think I will try reducing the amount of sugar and honey, and possibly trying to add in some coconut oil instead of canola. My children are in peanut free classrooms, so this is a great nut free bar to add to their snack/lunches at school.

Blueberry Breakfast Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
Easiest topping for a cheesecake I've ever made in a pinch...and I can control the sugar with any berry I use. I used fresh berries, which can sometimes use just a little sugar but I used 1/3 cup sugar and the contrast with the cheesecake's sweetness was wonderful. Next time maybe add some lemon zest at the end for a fresh zing.

Wow, intense flavor! The anchovies gave the spread/dip enough salt for sure and you really didn't notice any fish flavor until the end of your bite. It didn't hit my palate right for some reason. I agree with another reviewer maybe a different softer tasting vinegar (for my taste)? Just my opinon tho. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Cheery Chocolate Teddy Bear Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2007
I made these for a long distance family reunion and they didn't last long. I agree you do need to practice the dipping but practice is fun! Also with the different flavors of chocolate sandwich cookies now you can have fun with your flavors or go double recipe to do with the kids, they can put the teddy graham on.

Jamaican Jerked Chicken

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
This recipe was very tasty! The fresh ingredients make a wonderful change to the usual grilled chicken! It wasn't too spicy for the kids, either. I did use boneless skinless chicken breasts, next time I will use bone in for more flavor or maybe chicken wings?? Good recipe to make ahead if your having people over.
