I started working with food at the age of 15. I grew up with good French Canadian cooking and they are many of my "go to" comfort meals. Unlike most, I love to bake and cook. Lately, baking has taken over. I love to entertain, and having French In Laws helps!
My favorite things to cook
Veal Osso Bucco, Beef Burgandy, Coq au Vin, and my favorite meat loaf with lots of veggies, and of course tortiere.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making preserves in summer to save all those great vegetables and fruits from the garden. There's nothing like a real "fresh peach pie" at Christmas dinner.

Consomme- clear consomme.
My cooking tragedies
Time wise- the croque en bouche I thought would just take a couple hours, took my mom and I most of day for a holiday table centerpiece. We made one with cream puff balls and used cooked sugar for decoration/glue and made another holiday tree with home made truffles- white and dark. Huge endeavor but worth the effort.
