Loved it. Even better heated up the microwave the next day as a snack with wheat crackers.

Homemade Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2013
This was fabulous! My 11-yr-old made it --it was very easy. We used 2% milk and slightly less sugar, as suggested by some other reviewers. We liked eating it right away while it was still soft, but it is good after being frozen also. Will definitely be making this again!

Tastes like a fancy restaurant!! Glad I followed the advice of others and beat the eggs for a full 5 minutes. Cake was tender and delish! Will definitely make again.

Mouse's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2014
We tried using prepared mustard since another reviewer said it was fine to sub if you didn't have the mustard powder, but it was VERY mustardy tasting. It was still delicious, but we will try half or no mustard next time.

Super easy and yummy. Could be an easy sub for cream cheese frosting on a cake.

Zesty Tilapia with Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
We generally don't like fish unless it is Mrs. Paul's, so I am happy to find a recipe that we like that is healthy too. Thanks for a great, easy recipe.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
Loved it! I followed some hints from other reviewers: asssembled the day before, set out of 1 hr before baking, soaked the noodles in hot water instead of cookiing them, did not cook the sauce, and subbed 1/2 of the crushed tomatoes w/ a can of diced Italian-flavored tomatoes. It was great!

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
My husband didn't like the way it smelled while I was making the soup, but was pleasantly surprised when he tried. My two kids and my niece and nephew all loved this soup.

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
My husband and son both thought this was one of the best desserts I have ever made. A homemade crust is a must. If you don't like strawberry jam, you won't like this. I used a bag of frozen strawberries--let them thaw, drained them and they were ready to use in the recipe.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
I like this recipe for thin crust. A word of caution though--I tried to make it with 1/3 whole wheat flour and it was terrible. Stick to the original with this one!

Thin Mint Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
These are great! I used chocolate-flavored almond bark instead of expensive chocolate. It is so much easier to work with--no double boiler required, won't seize up... Unless you're a super-taster, you won't care and it is a lot cheaper, too.

Scarlett's Best Ever Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
Fabulous texture--We liked them best with extra pecans added in and rolled in colored sugar before being flattened. The kids liked squirting designs on them with Wilton's Cookie Icing. We will definitely be making these again.

Coconut Bon Bons

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
These are wonderful and fun to make. NOTE: I would recommend adding a little extra powdered sugar and refrigerating the dough a bit prior to rolling into balls to reduce the stickiness. Skip the double boiler and microwave the chocolate/shortening at reduced power. I love these, and I'm not even a huge coconut fan usually!

Honey Mustard Dressing I

This dressing was easy and delicious. I used only 1 T of soy sauce and a little less dill. Was great over greens w/ dried cranberries and walnuts!
